I am playing Descent with a CH Flightstick Pro and my hat switch does not function. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix?

Are you playing the original game via DOSBox or a source port native to your platform? If the latter, which one?

Use DXX-rebirth, you can maintain the old look, saves are compatible but you can configure your stick anyway you want.

In case you want to play in Dosbox you need to edit a certain .conf file in your installation folder and make joystick=ch (and make timed=false, although that is not causing this issue).

Though like Det_Bullock recommended you should convert the game to DXX-rebirth, as it updates the game entirely.
