There's a big update in progress that should be ready in January. I'm very close to having a beta on Steam which i may make available on the GOG beta as well.

I was about to start playing the game, and found this thread during installation. Is the update out already, or should I wait a little before starting a run?

Thanks for the question! It's not quite ready. I might have increased the scope of the update too much and it's taking me a little longer than I'd like! Looking at about another 2 weeks.
