RadonGOG: So why the hell is there no Linux-Downloader?! It would be really unclever to try to download such big files via your browser...
(I wanna have those files now so I can use them for my test runs next time I´ll tryout a new Gnu/linux-distribution! )
Because by the time we started officially supporting Linux, Galaxy was on the horizon not too long after. Besides, there will be a Linux version of Galaxy as per Venom's post here: in the Galaxy OP

Hope that helps :)

Ah, I see! So there will be a new downloader as well at the time Galaxy launches for public? (I´ve got the test-version!)

BTW: Will Galaxy get an additional feature to keep the installer in the download folder and do not automatically delete it?Course that´s the standard way for it right now...

I really don't know the answers myself as I am not a Galaxy dev. Your best bet would be to probably ask in the stickied Closed Alpha thread dedicated to Galaxy :)

You could also try the open source LGOGDownloader: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/lgogdownloader_gogdownloader_for_linux/page1

lgogdownloader has a major problem now. A lot of games aren't available through it already, probably those which are switched to Galaxy protocol.
Great, thanks a lot GOG!
Yep, thanks for this. Been waiting to play these games natively. I can confirm that they work like a charm on Ubuntu 12.04.5 64-bit.
