I downloaded the new (and so far only) Mod GoG has put up (Super Space Defenders). I put the Mod in the right place and it loaded fine.

The problem is when I click for new game (as there are none there right now) it just keeps saying "Loading" and nothing else. So far it's around 5 min and counting.

ADDEDD) I can shrink the window and reopen it to find it still loading.

Sorry about this. Hopefully I can help debug the problem.
Did you install the mod manually, or using the "install from zip" command?

EDIT 1:
Okay, I think I figured the problem out. This looks like my fault - but it's not the game, I believe, I think I just packaged the mod incorrectly, so *hopefully* this will be a quick fix. Give me 5 minutes.

EDIT 2:
Okay, the problem seems a bit deeper than that. For some reason the GOG build is not producing folders correctly. I'll have a fix ASAP.

EDIT 3:
Okay, found the bug. Fixed it locally, testing. Will ship to GOG as soon as I'm confident.

EDIT 4:
New builds version 1.1.00 for Mac/WIndows en route to GOG. New builds will go live at GOG's earliest convenience.

Even while we're waiting for the new build with fixed auto-installer to go up, the new mod should work if you install it manually.

To install manually:
1) Go to your documents directory (mine is "C:\Users\larsiusprime\Documents")
2) Create a "DefendersQuest" folder
3) Create a "mods" folder inside of that
4) Create a folder for your mod (say, "spacedefenders")
5) Unzip the contents into that folder, such that "settings.xml" and all the other files are right inside of "spacedefenders."

Review:
GOOD:
C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\DefendersQuest\mods\spacedefenders\settings.xml

BAD:
C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\DefendersQuest\mods\spacedefenders\anotherFolder\settings.xml

Hope this helps tide everybody over! Not sure what the mac directory equivalents are, but the starting point is the "Documents" directory.
Thanks for being so quick! Just finished my first playthrough of DQ a few days ago (on Steam, also have the GOG version though). I liked the game, I'm looking forward to the NG+ =)
Have it working like a charm now. Kind of cute and a little funny. Ty for the help
It's working fine for me, although the constant "click here to begin" message is a little annoying.
Hmm, I spotted some missing ending punctuation and at some point during the planetoid attack my characters name reverted to the default.

Hey Lars, do the mods files must be located in the "documents" (by default on C:) ? or I could put it on other drive ?

Edit: never mind, I think I'll just use "Documents" directory..

I download the new installer for it (2.3.0) and installed it and I think I patched it.

ADDED) it's 2.3.0.7 in the folder. What you do is this

A) Download and install the new installer (2.3.0.7)
B) Download the patch and patch it
C) Del the the mod from the folder and open the game
D) Click the mod button and click to open the zip of it.
E) It will load for a little bit then your done (that's all I had to do)

If you don't see something to go back to the normal start screen then it's going to stay loading (as far as I know).

Ah. Alright. I'll try that. Thanks :)
