I have just completed the Defenders Quest Demo in "Heroic Mode" I believe. Earned 21 Gold Stars and took me just under 2 and a half hours. Of course this was not my first play through although it was my first time beating the Boos just outside the Monastery on extreme, the one with the impossibly high Armor and HP.

Just have to Lightning Bolt the guy to death with I would say at least a level 13 character with all points in Lightning. The other creeps just get in the way of LBing him at that point and you want to slow them down so you don't waste any hits on them.

Now all that's left for me is to wait for the game to drop to at least 10 bucks before I buy it :( I hope it happens before Christmas as I only saw this game 2 days ago. It was on the gog header but wasn't on sale for some odd reason. Luckily because of the game comment I hunted down the demo, they should really have it on the game page itself though.

Nice work :). The export function is pretty awesome. I beat the game on normal but definitely plan to come back and finish some challenges.

Well I beat the game first time through using no Generic guys. aka Heroic Mode. Did the non runaway one first then went back and did the runaway one.

89 Gold Stars so far. The only one I have not been able todo yet is Super Sheep lol. Really tough with only the 6 guys.

I have also done all the bonus Challenges upto 70 perfect with her taking no damage, aka slaughtering them all.
The 80 start challenge I have gotten to the last 2 waves twice. Sadly about then is when I end up running out of Psi to reposition my defenders. It's sad to because my early placement of them for 80-90% is perfect and I don't have to move them at all. I end up getting so much Psi that I know I am losing it because I am already full.

Anyone have any tips for Super Sheep? Perhaps also which book reward I should put on?

PS - The 70 Star challenge is a real tease telling you there is like 80+ waves. The last like 20 Waves is only 2 guys each so it's quite stupid. Lol they never got more than 4 squares onto the map the way I had my guys setup. Also my Dragon only ever had to launch 1 FBall as well and he was set so that he hit them only if they made it to like that 4th square on the swimming side.

Mage + Knight combo. Mage should have all slowing down skills maximized and knight - damage dealing ones. Forget about knocking because the sheep is immune to it. When the knight cannot hit the sheep any longer recall him immediately and bring him back upgraded to maximum. Obviously do the same with mage. Put a ranger in nice spot so you won't have to recall her all the time. Let the berserker handle other sheep. If you have enough psi you can use the dragon but be sure to switch off both fire attacks because they cancel ice effects (and vice versa). If you cannot do it then most probably you should gain some experience first. I don't remember how powerful my characters were when I beat the level but I do remember I did it in heroic mode so it's very tedious but possible.

Congratulations! With all that poison your ranger most probably injected into it? Pass ;P

PS In case you haven't heard about it - New Game+ contains additional content so it's worth to play it not only to test your abilities ;)
