Of possible interest to fans of Deadly Premonition/Swery:
There are some nice gestures towards fans of DP, at least. The protagonist is named David Young, a clear reference to when York was known as David Young Henning during DP's development. The scene of David picking up the red shoe should also look familiar to DP players, and a secondary character strongly resembles Kaysen.

It IS Kaysen :)
I love Deadly Premonition and SWERY's work, and I have to admit I was hyped about D4 when they first announced it, even though I don't own and won't buy an Xbone (I guess I was hoping it would get ported to other platforms, à lá Deadly Premonition), but now that I've seen game play videos of the game, I'm a bit disappointed -- and glad Microsoft's consoles sell next to nothing over here, so I didn't end up buying one and making the double mistake of getting the game.

Oh, well, and this is why they stopped working on Deadly Premonition to make it more stable on the PC... :/
This is out already? I'm not getting a xbox for a year or two but I think I'll purchase this game now to show support.
Here's some wishful thinking:

(as I said in the entry - Deadly Premonition was on the wishlist long before it came to PC... so, here's hoping :))

EDIT. Watching some random parts of the game. More Twin Peaks it seems... Owls are certainly not what they seem.
EDIT2. And hope is not gone for PC it seems (click). At least he didn't say 'no, never' :)
EDIT4. I'm and [url=http://www.twitlonger.com/show/ngionh]a bit optimistic.

Is Microsoft the only studio that holds the rights to D4, the only ones that could eventually release it on PC? I ask this because, initially, Deadly Premonition was a Microsoft/X360 exclusive but Rising Star ended up releasing it on other platforms, namely on the PC, so that would mean we might not need to get Microsoft on board -- which doesn't seem likely, anyway... --, all we seem to be needing is for some publisher, preferably one partial to GOG, to pick up the rights to this PC build and release it.

I honestly think the chances of that happening aren't that bad, at least it's not an XBone exclusive anymore, since a PC build already exists.

I think that Microsoft took part in producing the game and they hold exclusive publishing rights... but I can be wrong.
D4 is confirmed for PC.
