Sadly, that is it's "hi-res" version. While in the game, go to the play settings and you can actually lessen the graphics. Games that old, that was the best you got for graphics from a dying 3rd party developer. The talking aliens aren't that bad, but the cut scene intro/ending was always blocky most likely because there wasn't enough room for a decent quality video file on the CD so a high quality version wouldn't exist..
