Deadlock one works fine but with deadlock two as soon as I move the mouse the screen goes black. I am using windows 8, is this a problem on my end? Is there something I can do to fix this?

Had same problem. After instalation of new nvidia drivers everything is OK.

Same problem here. Tried updating drivers but didn't make any difference.

Does anyone know if there has been any official response on this issue?

Just tested myself, same problem here on W8.1

But I was shortly able to see the screen before it went black......

I can still enter a new name though (top middle of the screen).

And driver here AMD.......

Did somebody already opened a ticket?

Tried already compatibility mode different settings like 8bit colour, 16 bit, same result....

Funny is that the scale by high DPI is greyed out......wanted to try this one, but can´t....

PS, just checked a bit, aquanox has the same default setting and this is working for me.....

Same problem on latest AMD Catalyst drivers. The game loads the menu visible and then when I move the mouse everything goes black. As others said menu works without a problem if you know where the buttons are and the singleplayer campaign loads but its only black screen so 100% unplayable on Win 8.1.

It isn't merely on windows 8, the same problem occurs on W7

Deadlock 2 worked perfectly fine on my 64bit win7 laptop, but I can't remember whether I had to mess with the compatibility settings

30 days from the day of purchase if you live outside of EU.

I opened a ticket with support, as I want to have this old gem running ;)

I´ll keep you posted and will let you know if I need help from you guys with information about OS, whatever ;)

In the moment I just got the reply: Not support on W8, as not running reliable.

Durandal, I did mention that you are running W7.

I am trying to get a few more infos, maybe we can solve it ourselves. I just like my classics.

Got a response from gog about the issue. Basically they are not able to get the game running under Windows 8/8.1 so it was removed from the supported OS list for WIN 8/81.

The game was never listed as supported under Windows 8, I thought.
