The game won't run under XP SP3, unless you modify it as described here:

Without the modification it will only give you a 'not a valid win32 application' error message under Windows XP.

I'd test it on Win XP and no, it can't. It's very sad.

I don't think the developers will put any time and/or effort in a request like this... even if (in this case) XP compatibility is fairly simple to achieve. From a developers point of view XP is kind of dead - so there's no real sense in aiming for it.

Bottom line: you have to patch the game yourself as described above. Or you use this patcher i created:

You can even build a universal patcher yourself (working with every current and future version of the game), using a tool like CodeFusion by koby (like i did) or similar. It ain't rocket science. If someone like me (with no coding experience at all) can do it, anyone can.
