So far the Mod seem to run fine up to the point when I started the Pirates of Ta side mission to unlock the first hidden system of the game.
There after gunning down the Pirates cargos and escorts, nothing happens. The Merc leader just stays idle and nothing happens. Normally he is supposed to thank you and give you the key to the Ta system. You're supposed to get a reward or something... Here, nothing...
I tried reloading. I tried waiting for over an hour for maybe another random pirate spawn. Nothing.
Is there a way around i am unaware off?
If I jump or Dock, the mission results in failure
I finished the game so decided to work through it again with the MESA mod. AND I got stuck on this issue also. The cause may be setting up the flak mission bat file. By the way, this will cause similar problems in other missions. The Flak fix should only be used to get through the FLAK mission, then removed.
I went into the Lua/Missions Battlelib.lua folder and did this:
-- temp.Number=1 --
Which effectively eliminated it from the program while till leaving it in for later use. If there is an easier way to get rid of this statement (like turning the mesa flak bat fix off) then do it.
Leaving that statement in is great to get through the FLAK missions but is notorious for causing other problems, such as what you are experiencing with the TA issue. And if you leave it in you will have other problems in the game.

Running Fixer.bat again fixed the Pirates of Ta mission. Thanks for the solution!
