Cause i remember back in the day that you had to take down Moto Racer 2 because of some game breaking bugs till they we're fixed. This thing still has button prompts broken so it's downright unplayable during QTE sequences (unless you like the extra challenge of guessing button prompts during your first time). If the patch is coming soon (which i doubt it does) can we have some ETA?

Most of the time it's just 'A' button I think, at least I don't remember having any problem with QTEs, I only had to forget about doing advanced attacks. At least I saved money for the trainer.

And only button prompts for controller are broken, they work for keyboard/mouse. It's less convenient, I rather kept guessing than to learn k+m, but at least one of the reviews states that DS2 is fine on keyboard (as opposed to DS1 which is supposed to be almost unplayable without controller). Can't confirm either from personal experience, but I did finish it with controller, even with the broken prompts.

So... it is annoying and stupid bug that shouldn't take more than a week to fix for any marginally competent developer. It's a regression FFS, just go back a few versions and find out which commit exactly broke it (they ARE using version control, right??). I guess that the delay is because they are trying to fix too many things at once, not because it is hard to fix this one. Which in turn may be caused by the fact that GOG process for publishing new version is more complicated than they are used to from Steam, and they don't want to go through it more times than absolutely necessary. At least I would feel like that if I were in their shoes.

Karkinos bug is far worse, but it only affects some players, hard to judge how widespread it is.

Still, game is far from broken or "downright unplayable". Original DS2 edition for all owners would be nice of them (I still have mine because I owned it before it became deathinitive, but the saves are not backwards compatible, and I like how the loot works in deathinitive). And ETA for unbroken prompts would be nice too, no argument there, my NG+ is still waiting.

This is one of the biggest issues holding up the patch, there are scores of known issues and Nordic are simply unable to reproduce some of them on their end and are having to go over the codebase from start to finish. They are also trying to convert the game over to a DX11 renderer.

If anyone can document major bugs and have any idea what the triggers might be, I suggest sending those to them, along with your basic PC specs.

So, this confirms my suspicion, in a way. Thanks, it's nice to know what is happening. ThomNG could drop once in a while with status update, instead of you having to pry it from their cold dead... ehm, sorry.

About how widespread Karkinos problem is. People usually complain about such kind of bugs. And they are usually silent if they experience no problem. Off the top of my head I know about single GOG player experiencing it, so my gut feeling is "pretty rare". If devs can't reproduce it, that's very hard to fix. Solus project had similar kind of problem. First it was dismissed as a glitch, then they tried to find which graphics drivers or detail settings cause it... now it looks like it's confirmed bug in UE4 audio engine, manifesting only on AMD FX processors. Moral: if you want it fixed, report it and be as detailed as possible. Devs might see a pattern once they have enough such reports, and weirdest details might be causing it.
Refunded.

Well, new Nordic games are coming and yet no patches for DS2 DE. >:(
Yeah this game got abandoned really fucking fast on GoG, wish we at least had the same patches Steam version has
Is there actually any patches difference at all? I thought game was drop by Nordic on both platforms...

Aaaaand it's fixed! Better late then never I guess.
They took their sweet ass time, 10 days before Warmastered Release, coincidence? I think not, if someone is willing to test if the GOG Release is playable right now from start to finish then just tell me.
at least nordic got rid of gunfire studios and hired a new studio to remaster darksiders 1

lets hope the game performs better + they try to fix bugs asap like every other studio that wants happy customers
maybe the new studio will give darksiders 2 some love after warmastered works as intended
