I just found the throwing blade and got attacked by some burning bats. I was able to kill most of them, but the last one seems to be impossible. I target the bat, but when I throw the blade in most times it doesn`t even fly in the direction of the bat! Sometimes it does, but shortly before it reaches the bat it turns around and comes back. I`m not standing to far away, one or two steps more and I fall into the lava. So what can I do? For me it looks like a bug, but maybe I do something wrong, but what?
I like the game very much, but without killing the bat I can`t get any further(or is it "farther"?) .

Throwing blade? I presume you are talking about the first Darksiders, right?

You are referring to this part, right? I have completed the first game twice, but I don't remember having any problems killing those bats during both playthroughs.
Edit: Have you tried charging the crossblade (by holding down the crossblade button) before throwing it?

Charging? Well, didn`t know that. Will try next time, but it`s so less time to do so. Well, wish me luck!
