How do I install or run Darklands in German?

Hello,
It is available through the downloader link.

In the website bring up your games.

Click on the little down arrow on the bottom right of the Darklands card.

It should show several options including View Downloads.

Click on view Downloads. That should bring up a new screen. Click on the little down arrow next to where is says more.

Click on GOG download links. That will bring up a new screen.

Near the top is should say Darklands - Windows - installer:

There will be 2 links under it, one is for English and say English, ignore it
The other right under it says Windows installer, German. Click on it and you are in business!

Unfortunately I'm not. Clicking the link (or one of the other download links on that screen) produces an error message saying something like I might need another program to download the file. Is it possible that these links work with Galaxy only?

No. Those links are for the GOG Downloader, which is a nice (and official) way of managing the web downloads with capability for pausing, resuming, and automatically hash checking that the files are all right.

To summarise: There is a game feature which is advertised on the game's store page (German language support, text, audio), but I can't have this feature without installing additional software (GOG downloader) on my PC - which is not mentioned on said store page.
I can't say whether or not this is legal (I don't have a legal background), but it doesn't fit my understanding of business ethics. Good to know!
No. You entered the location where GOG downloader links are located, and I simply pointed out that you where incorrect in your assumption that those were for Galaxy, pointing you then to the actual software they are for (a tiny program that has nothing to do with Galaxy).

The regular HTTP download link, which does not require any other software than the very browser you are using to post here, since it is so important to you, is located in your library. See the attached pictures.

Thanks - I deleted my earlier post.

For others interested in downloading Darklands in German:
Go to the Darklands entry in your GOG game library, and change "English" to "German". Then continue downloading the setup file in the normal way.
