Hello everyone!

I've faced an issue since the quite problematic release of Color of Madness.

Indeed, in the beginning of the game, some texts appear telling me that "Bark sounds not found" (for exemple), or that some trinkets are not found.

Later in the game, when my heroes gain some trinkets, there is an error message where I should see the trinket's description and effect.

I've repaired/reinstalled the games twice now, and this issue still seems to be here.

Any help is welcome, if somebody else had this problem before. :)

Do you play English version of the game? I've heard about some problems with other language versions (like missing texts etc) that can cause such issues like yours.

As a French guy, i play with the French version. :)

Maybe my issue is related to that fact indeed...

Yeah, that's what I thought. ;) Darkest Dungeon does not require any reinstallation to change language so If you know English then you can temporarily turn it on to test.

Another thing - what is your game version right now? I'm asking this because:
Darkest Dungeon build 23886

- Fixed a crash and issues around using the Default Party Order button
- Attempting a fix for the issue with Campaign Activity Log’s resetting or losing weeks.
- Foxed an Error around Missing Mashes
This last fix can also be important for you. :)

I'm currently onto the last version of the game... :/

So maybe it's just a "normal" bug quite spread within the non-English players. Hope it will be soon fixed!

Last version is 23898 and I can't see it on GOG, yet. It was released a few hours ago.

There is 23904 now on GOG, but I can't find this number on Steam patches list so do not know what's fixed.

Me too, GOG patch 23904, still French descriptions missing...

So I guess the last thing we can do is to be patient! :)

Darkest Dungeon on GOG has just got an update to build 23941 (after over two weeks of waiting) so please check if your bugs still exist. :)
