Hi,

I'm seeking my save to make a backup before clean install, but I can't find any answer on the web, about the damn path !

I'm on Elementary Os 0.4.1 (ubuntu 16.04), and want to switch to Lubuntu.

Does anyone get the answer ?

edit :

Right click on home folder, "show hidden files".
C/user/home/username/.local/share/Red Hook Studios/Darkest.

Thanks to helpers.

My first result from DDG: https://www.reddit.com/r/darkestdungeon/comments/5llcn0/where_are_the_saves_in_linux_version/
Thanks for the answer, but I don't even understand the ~ ?

If it's supposed to be the root folder at the root of hard drive, i can't access it (this folder doesn't belong to you).
So I thaught it will be a hidden folder ?

And if I try to go to properties of Root folder, it exit pantheon file before I can reach the "permissions".

And reseraching profile_0 made no result.

edit : right clic on files on the dock, lauch as administrator :

it opens pantheon with en empty file, then empty root folder, and no local or .local folder.

~ is your home folder, i.e. if your user name is eadg it is usually /home/eadg.

So you should look inside /home/eadg/.local/share/Red\ Hook\ Studios/Darkest/

It's not clear if you know this, but a file/folder that starts with a dot is hidden, so you will not see the .local folder unless you enable view hidden files, you I usually manually enter the folder name in the location box of the file manager.

What do you mean when you say that can't you access the root folder? You should not have write access, but you must have read access.

Edit: And you should not use launch as administrator. Never launch games (and normal applications) as administrator on Linux!

I thaught it was about hidden folder, thanks for confirmation. Eos doesn't allow you to even look inside root folder. So I just got to google the "show hidden folder" then follow the path you mentionned. And thanks for the linux infos.
