so this game has some really nice mods in steam workshop, is there any way we can have these mods on GOG ?

Most mods are just config changes. Unless they add some new files etc.

I just tried using Steam Workshop Downloader, but even after subscribing it wouldn't let me download anything because some asshat set the DD Steam workshop up in a retarded, Steam-only way.

There are tons of mods on the Nexus though, so I suspect all the good ones (and many more) will be on there - http://www.nexusmods.com/darkestdungeon/?

Then i'll look up some mods in the nexus and hope that it won't screw my game (and that the mod is still doable with the current version, saw some steam mods were it said that it won't get updated anymore and won't work with newer versions).

No problems.

I assume if they're made with the newer version in mind then they shouldn't screw anything - Nexus is a good a place as any for mods, and most modders make their stuff available there. If not there then maybe give ModDB a go, or if it's only on Steam Workshop you could always hassle the mod creator (if they're still active) to get it to the Nexus or something similar.

With some games it's no issue since we can just use Steamdownloader, but the DD devs must have locked the workshop for it for some reason.
