hi,

i haven't patched my game in some time (currently it's running build 16707, which was patch GOG-7) on my Linux machine. Now I wanted the latest update, patch 17687 / GOG-10, but on install it says it can only patch version 2.9.0.9 of the game. Which i assume comes from build 17459 (GOG-9). So i downloaded that patch and it says it can only patch version 2.8.0.8 of the game. But there is no GOG-8 patch (any more?) in my Download Library. Do i really have to use the Installer for Version GOG-10, reinstall comletly and hope my savegames will survive??? Isn't there a link to the one patch i am apparently missing??

I think you can ask GOG support for a download link to the patch you are missing:

Hey der_mike,

The save files for the game are kept outside the installation folder and will be not touched during the process of uninstalling the game. This link will tell you where they are kept if you want to make a backup of them to be sure: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Darkest_Dungeon#Save_game_data_location

You can simply uninstall your game completely and install the latest version you can download from our website.

That is also correct and can be done as a workaround.

i also got this answer from the support. Seems a new install is the way to go. well, as long as the savegames are untouched i am okay with that :)
