On GOG version of Daikatana there is no fog effect in the game, even though it's turned on in graphic options. On the same computer (laptop) I've instaled original Daikatana copy (from 2000) + 1.2 patch and everything was fine.

Any ideas what might be the problem and how I can turn fog on?

EDIT: By fog I mean linear (distance) fog. Some objects (like trees) shows signs of fog (they're changing color with distance), but fog itself is unnoticable.

What happens if you type the "set gl_drawfog" command with "0" or "1" value in the console ? Does it make any difference ?

(activate the console by adding :
+set console 1
to the target description of your daikatana shortcut)

I've checked and it seems there is some distance fog, but it's barely noticeable (only on really huge distance). It's nowhere near of how it looked in original (I have original daikatana's disc) game. I've tried both on same laptop and gog's version have less visible fog. Since fog was very important for Daikatana's art direction, it's pretty big deal.
