JakobFel: If you want to blame anyone for the delay in patches, blame idiotic children like the ones who gave them a ransomware attack all because they didn't like a video game.
Gamers can be so pathetic.
Nephilim88: Well said.
And I mean this seriously: when people are used to games that constantly give, give and give whenever and whatever they ask (even if it means they have to spend all their money, or their parents' money, on them) they stop being used to games that actually try to convey something in a way or another, that are an expression of something (in this case, a literary genre that did great a few decades ago).
And especially they stop being patient and start being spoiled crybabies, in every aspect of their life.
EDIT Or straight-up entitled pricks (see post below)...
Precisely. And honestly, I think that's the only downside to such a consumer-friendly approach as CDPR has: people get used to them giving it their all and treating the customer like royalty (I still believe they do that) that they've forgotten just how bad other publishers and studios can be. We, as fans of CDPR and/or their games, have it EXTREMELY good. In general, the games industry is at a great point now. We've moved beyond predatory microtransactions for the most part, truly innovative and excellent titles are releasing, etc. So many gamers are taking that for granted.

J Lo: The death threat situation was worse, IMO.

What I'm saying is the thing that
really delayed the patches was the ransomware issue, as that locked their systems down so that they couldn't really do much of anything until it was fixed.
In general, I don't really care if people liked the game or not. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but they are not entitled to fling ransomware at the company or send them death threats. That just shows the toddler mentality of so many modern gamers... well, actually, that's pretty insulting to toddlers. I've said it before, I'll say it again: gamers, not the studios and publishers, are the greatest threat to the future of this industry.
