Engineered how? Why for "at least for a century"? Did you make this time frame up or is it based on something? What happens after that? What is your source for this? Why haven't you answered my previous questions? What does this have to do with the game?

Agreed. Go with Spin-off. Cyberpunk didnt hit the mark, why they wanna keep expanding it? I understand they wanted to expand Witcher 3, because it was 94 metacritic game, but why with Cyberpunk.

They made a shit load of money on this one, that's why. How? Well, the selling points were Open world, GTA clone, Cyberpunk and Keanu...coming from the company that made The Witcher 3, it showed promise...but...the development time ( red flag), clone of GTA in a cyberpunk world (red flag #2), the lgbtq+ friendly content as a selling point ( red flag #3).

They dupped us and unfortunately, in the marketing busines, morbid curiosity makes any product benefit from the motto " there is no bad publicity"...of course then comes the teeth to the floor, but until then, they made a ton of money which gives them leverage to whatever until it falls, by then, they already used it well.
The stock market doesn't wait for public reviews or awereness, it just keeps on ticking every second. by the time we saw what happened, the money was already flowing. That's why.

Just look at most game developers today...unfinished content, micro transactions, spread content through DLC...but most of the products are full price upfront.
It's our fault really and we know it...fool me once...fool me twice...it's a shame videogames stopped being videogames and began to be political and corporate vehicles...That's why the Good Old Games is such a winning concept, old is gold, time and time again.

Why is everyone comparing anything that have semi open world to GTA? GTA is neither an open world game, like Daggerfall is, nor it was the first game (GTA 3) with OTS view and free city roaming. GTA is just a copy of ATARI's Black Ice / White Noise (which was unfortunately never officially released). And GTA is an action game with just enough plot to justify the shooting, while Cyberbuk's strongest point is actually the plot itself. V's journey, the decisions made, bonds created are what defines the final outcome. Not only in game, but how you receive it. You can hastily shoot you're way through the game, but it will leave you lacking, and that's why there are so many low rating reviews.

Cyberpunk took the unfortunate road the other companies took, but it doesn't force anything on you. It's all you're choices how you like to be viewed, who to romance etc. There are characters who represents some minorities, but they also don't force you to do anything you wouldn't like. Many people complain for not being able to romance Judy if they've chosen certain ... physical traits ... But hey, to be a woman you have to have a pussy, not to be one.

CDPR learned the lesson of developing both the game and game's engine in the same time. That's why they're moving to Unreal engine. But was the delay that much? Compared to Vampire Bloodlines 2? :)
