Problem: When entering the game, vsync is constantly turned off. Everytime. Is there any way to fix this?

Do you gave Geforce Experience set to auto change game settings? this can cause it and has been the reason for some.

Crazy idea, launch the game locally as an administrator, make your changes play a little and check to see if they are saved, save your game and then exit... then launch normally. It seems a file someplace isn't changing its settings... personally i have had no luck finding a working setting file that modifies game settings, there are so many places with JSON/XML and INI files that its been a nightmare figure it all out.

After starting the game, the UserSettings.json file is reset and resets the vsync settings

if thats the trouble file you can set it read only and the game cannot change it!

Did not work. It seems to me that there is a config file somewhere else, I found only 3, everywhere vsync is enabled.

you can set v-sync & triple buffering to "on" in Nvidia Control Panel for this game's specific profile and even while game's in-game menu settings may show "off" the NCP will override this and use it anyway.

many claim for this to be a better alternative in all games.

Here's what happened:
1. Installed the game, launched the game.
2. Opened GFE - optimized settings.
3. Got a problem with disabling v-sync

BUT!

If you do not start GFE, then there is no problem. The v-sync setting is not disabled.
But, then the shadows turn into pixels.

you want v-sync on but the game somehow disables it when you restart?
then set it to on in Nvidia Control Panel and forget the in-game settings.

if GeForce Experience is somehow interfering:
stop or disable the GeForce Experience service in Task Manager or Windows Services
or just uninstall it altogether. i would much rather use my own settings than let it "optimize" anything.

I agree with you. There are no problems without GFE. But, GFE optimizes the game very well, the shadows are not like 4 black pixels, they are smooth and even. The blurring of the picture also disappears.

the default "Image Sharpening" setting in NCP works wonders with almost all games.
and i've had no issue with bad shadow resolutions or pixellation in the game.

there is no setting that GeForce Experience can enable that isn't available to you manually through the Nvidia Control Panel or in-game settings, GeForce Experience just loads pre-configured settings that members of their team have implemented.

you would have to research yourself, but NCP settings may even override GFE settings.
so if GFE is in fact disabling v-sync, enabling it in NCP may still override that.
