I have been playing, and enjoying CP2077 despite the many MANY MAAAANNNY stupid things PR has done since launch. I have just noticed, (post Hotfix 1.06) that V's vending machine in his apartment has changed... see screenshot.

At first I thought it was just my textures not loading or something, so I tinkered with my graphics settings (at maximum) and rebooted the game and everything. no luck. The texture on the vending machine screen remains pixelated. Now, for those of you who never bothered looking at the screen, it is supposed to be perfectly clear, with many options on it for what V might want. (Accounting for why he doesn't need a kitchen in his place.) This includes "Joygirls, Joyboys, and Braindances) among other things. It makes sense. It's just that little extra bit of emersion.

Well... it;s gone. is it just -my- game? Is this just some stupid texture issue on my save, or is this some pathetic effort at censorship? These whole shit shows have me paranoid.

The CDPR fanbois, demanded ALL things they see as PORNO, be removed, they didn't get BANNED permanently for fighting for MORE censorship, and never did they get banned for RUDELY(According to the forums own enforced rules) stating that any adult content is ALWAYS PORN.

That's CDPR's fanbase now on the OFFICIAL FORUMS.

They permabanned ANYONE who dared to speak out on this.

I was BANNED a MONTH for daring to call this out, in stating that; "it is 'dumb' to call something NOTHING BUT PORN if there's adult content in it."

Not ALL, but whatever Sony, or Microsoft demanded to make them feel comfortable on consoles. This was also done with another game recently, called, Agony, which later released an Adults Only version, but was CONTRACT locked from telling the fans until AFTER the console sales died down.

They're doing this because particularly Sony has them by the balls at the moment, and Sony are rather hyper-conservative when it comes to anything remotely risque.You can be very sure that probably every developer at CDPR would rather do the game justice with the adult themes, and they know that this is popular among players, but it just isn't an option.

And if you talk like this on their official forum then yeah, you're probably going to get kicked out. You're being obviously disrespectful and the moderators there don't care for that.

What I don't understand is that nobody forced their hand on declaring this or that "adult" feature or ability to customize the character's d*ck. They were perfectly aware of what is or isn't acceptable on consoles (Witcher 3 was released on same consoles we are talking about) yet they chose to make statements and then backtrack on them 720 degrees. That deserves backlash and I'm glad to see it coming.

I've now moved on to Red Dead Redemption 2 voyage I have not finished previously - that game has no nudity at all. And it never promised any. Perfectly fine approach.

Now, I tried to explain some of this to calm some of them down. The problem is, the moment you do, the fans come pouring in who mock anyone into silence that ANYTHING adult in these games is porn and only porn.

The censorship empowers that entire crowd. Like this guy Araconk or whatever assuming rudness, here.

Until Adults Only is finaly made the standard on consoles, it's just going to only be children's games on everything but PC. You also will be mocked endlessly for daring to even explain alternatives or how they can work around it.

I don't care who you trust. I just dealt with the email concerning it, and it's the most ridiculous argument ever.

If you can't even search their own official quotes about any discussion of censorship, I'm not going to help you google it, either. I didn't even read that part my family memeber did before the permaban. Where he hadn't said a word about it. Just anger about the state of the game.

FWIW, I am on 1.06 and can perfectly read the vending machine description. It is a bit pixelated but that looks more like an artistic choice.

Well, it doesn't make sense that they didn't own up to reality right away and claimed to be making a dark and mature game, that far I agree, but the harsh reality is that while CDPR are the authors, they still depend on external partners in order to get their game sold. They can't sell anything on the Playstation ecosystem without getting it approved by Sony, and it stands to reason that Sony has gotten seriously cranky after the refund situation. But even with a happy Sony, it just isn't on to have the same game on console and PC and have that game contain mature things.
