I just updated the game to 1.62 and have suddenly started experiencing an annoying bug where V's textures, especially hair and beard, flicker constantly in the inventory menu. I have tried removing all my mods, reinstalling the game and verifying game files through GOG but the bug is still there even in the completely vanilla game. If anyone has experienced the same issue and has more info or a fix pls let me know!
Try disabling raytracing or reducing shadows.

PaladinNO: Try disabling raytracing or reducing shadows.
Thanks for responding! I tried both of your suggestions but no dice unfortunately. I'm really not even sure what is causing this issue. I initially chalked it up to mods but since I have removed them all AND did a clean reinstall of the game I'm honestly stumped.

UPDATE: I FIXED IT. I tinkered with my graphics settings for a bit and discovered that having dynamic resolution scaling on is what caused the problem.

Goody! :)

Are you playing on patch 1.62?

I'm still on 1.6, and I don't think I even have that setting. Point being with my suggestions above, was that such flickering almost always is a graphics issue, where the game doesn't really know how to properly display something.

This is usually caused by raytracing, shadows, or - as was the case here - upscaling. You may see the same thing happen outdoors, like flickering wall posters, especially when moving the mouse fast side to side, and the fake rendering cannot keep up. This is why I play without any artificial improvement, with both RT and DLSS turned off. I play on custom High settings with reduced shadows.

Another tip: turn off ALL of the Basic settings. Film grain, Lens Flare, Motion Blur etc. All that is doing is distorting the image, making everything look worse.

Thanks for the tip! Yes, I am playing version 1.62, and to my knowledge this patch introduced a few new graphics settings so that's probably why you don't have them in your game :)
