I just had the same problem it...takes a while but it works...the offline installer 1.04 does not work...it claims 1.04 is not supported
Well, this is annoying.

For 585 MBs, it's sure taking it's sweet ass time to patch this stuff....

You can have a 1 MB patch needing hours to install and a 5 GB one only taking 2 minutes. Size has nothing to say about patching time!

Got stuck at 57% myself - at least i thought i was - but after a while it continued. Just be patient. Patch took about 6-7 minutes on SSD, will obviously take way longer on HDD.

One day I will have the money for an SSD, but until then, I just have to spare a couple of hours for every patch, I guess.

N43: Stuck at 61% first time also - the HDD is on 100% Usage... After Restarting GOG - it does nothing.
Restarted the patch - same thing - now at 57%

@sigmer are you sure? have you tried to check for updates manually?

Thanks for the recommendation, my aim is to buy an SSD with a 1TB capacity.

In germany you can get that one for around 90-100 Eddies. should be the same in other regions, SSD prices are all about the same worldwide

vespa35: Update v1.04 - Stuck at 57% while applying patches

This has happened twice. I aborted the first time. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions (short of uninstalling Cyberpunk, which, depending on the new download, may not even correct it)? Thanks.

xxChrisxBossxx: Same here! Restarted GOG and its moving up slowly so hoping that did it. HDD is also at 100% usage right now and the game has taken up 119GB storage.

EDIT: Its now at 70% and climbing which means that restarting GOG did it!
Thanks for the tip! This worked for me as well! After restarting it went from 61% to complete in about 10 minutes!
The only thing that helped me — completely reinstalling of the game. During patching do not touch anything :) don't breathe and pray.
just pause it up the top and restart, my thing was my drive had 53gb left and said not enough room for 500 odd mb patch lol, it seems the patching system is thinking you need the games full 59gb space to apply the 500 odd mb patch lol... not a cdproject red issue as I suspected it was this, moved some stuff to make 59 free and it started the 500 odd mb patch lol
After several hours of grinding my HDD the update froze at 92% without disk activity.

At this point I noticed that I still had a ghost Cyberpunk2077.exe process still hanging around the task manager. I killed it and restarted GOG Galaxy, and lo, update finished.
It's not actually stuck. I'm guessing the 57% mark is when the biggest archive is being patched. The length of the whole process depends on how much free space you have (the installer needs to copy tens of gigabytes) and whether you're using hdd or ssd. I had a lot of free space left and the whole process took around 15-20 min (on a ssd).

Also you can't mix offline 1.04 patch with Galaxy version.

The patching system is right:

Thanks for the responses, everyone. The patch finally installed, but it took a very long time. This is the only GOG title in my library that does this (that I'm aware of). Subsequent patches also take a substantial amount of time to install.
