Arachnarok_Rider: Something is wrong with your system, I suspect. I'm getting better FPS in 1080 (on low, sure) with an i7-6700k and a GTX 970. That's a six year old graphics card and a CPU that is quite a bit behind what you've got. There's no way that should even be visible in your rear view mirror.

Mind you, I had some big framerate problems at one point but the most recent Nvidia drivers did a lot (I think), and making a profile with performance settings in the graphics card driver control panel also gave a few FPS. Going full screen rather than borderless also seemed like it might have given a few fps.

All in all, I can do 60 fps in the apartment (on low, a few fps less on medium) and 30-40 fps while out and about night city.

Battleroid: Been finding others with the problem in forums online. Not many but still. No solution in sight.
And I tried everything even going to look for the games config files, which I didn't find, to see if maybe some settings weren't updating correctly.
Have you tried using Afterburner to check whether it is your CPU or GPU that is bottlenecking? Also, I have heard about AMD drivers getting weird ideas and downclocking the GPU.

I've tried with res at 720p everything low or off and I still get 35 fps max.
It appears to be a GPU usage issue. I'm at 30-40% and can't go above.

I have another computer with a 2700X + 1660 SUPER and the game runs at 57-60 fps at 1080p medium.
There are a bunch of threads now on many forums about the issue and a lot of people are affected with a wide range of hardware with both Intel and AMD CPUs and Intel/nVidia/AMD GPUs.

Tried clean install of driver to no changes.
if you´re running a nVidia setup, i highly recommend using GeForce Experience to pick the settings for you. It did a really great job for my, lowering just one setting and maxing everything else and it runs perfectly!

give it a try if you can.

I am running CP2077 on Ryzen 7 3800x, 32gb ram and GTX1080 and have similar issues like shaun840.
I'm well within recommended specs and game runs like sh%t no matter the settings (high=19fps, low=26-28 which is still choppy as hell because frame pacing is all f****d up) and nvidia experience is recommending mostly low settings so i don't think this will help anyone:/
Only resolution scaling is giving any decent results but i would not consider 75% of 1080p to be a playable resolution in ANY modern game unless you're using RTX which of course i can't even if wanted to...
BTW those fps i mentioned above are in the middle of a desert (starting point of nomad path).
im in the same boat.

20fps in menus

17-19 fps in game NO MATTER what resolution or settings.

1070, 1600. so depressing that i cant make it run.

You don't have some driver-side forced vsync or freesync or similar on, do you?
Very strange things happen. I have PC with scecs i5 9600k 16G RAM GTX1070TI 8G - game run smooth at Ultra settings, FPS in range 50-55. At High settings - FPS 60-75. Running at 1080p

And i have notebook Lenovo Lenion y720 i5 7400 16G RAM GTX 1060 6G - this sceps are lower ther above, but it run smooth enough with High settings with down scale render to 80% 1080p - FPS 30-50 depended of scene.

So it is not so bad.
The recommended specs are indeed not accurate, I'm afraid at this point everyone who's playing the game knows this, but it was clear something was off back then when they first revealed the system requirements, as in a GTX 1060 and a GTX 1660 Super are not equal, the latter is closer or almost identical to the 1070 in performance, which I do have, and on my 1070 High settings do not produce anything close to 60 FPS either, on High settings.

If I had to estimate it, I'd say the minimum GPU for stable, High Preset, 60 FPS would be the GTX 1080, according to my own, GTX 1070, experience so far, and that's how it is. The requirements should either be updated to reflect this, or maybe they should work on improving this, which I find it less likely to happen, at least not for such a huge performance delta right now between a 1060 and the actual GPU/s than run the game at High/60 currently, and being stable at it, no less.

To be honest the 1060 is not even valid as a recommendation for a consistent 30 FPS, High preset, 1080p experience, it's just not.
Running a 1080ti at 1440p tho im in 21:9 and i get low 40s fps at low/med which is much less then they req with a slower gpu even if you add 10-20 more fps if i were to run in 16:9 which is still misleading by them.
I've now tried every fix currently available, those for memory, those for CPUs, those where you add a plug-in, the one removing the AMD Bulldozer check etc.
I even changed my GPU and I still have the same 30% usage problem.
The game simply WONT USE MORE.

Result is I'm stuck at 30fps.

they said 2060 for high in 1440p, and i get a 1070ti OCed, which is about the same as 2060,and I only get 30-40 FPS with medium/high settings, 1080 def not enough for 1440p for 60FPS.
I have a 1070, 32GB RAM, i5 6600 on my system and the game runs almost exactly the same in lower settings and ultra at 1080p.

There's no big difference between lower (I can't reach 60 FPS) and ultra running between 35-50 FPS with some dips to 15FPS, those dips occur even in the lower settings...

I don't know what can I do to improve my performance since playing on high or medium won't do any difference, so I'm sticking with ultra

It's a little bit vague, but the recommended specs are for a targeted 30fps. So really, your setup should be running CP 2077 at 30fps with the recommended system reqs.
