Thieves always dress up their thievery with all kinds of "noble" rationalization...;) It's always amusing to hear them talk about their reasons for stealing--or, attempting to steal, anyway. I'm of the opinion that people who are in love with piracy aren't game customers in the first place. I've always had that opinion. You won't see GOG selling denuvo games because GOG tolerates no DRM--unless something drastic has happened when I wasn't watching recently. So GOG itself strips them of their DRM rationalizations--they could buy from GOG without ever suffering DRM. But they'd rather steal.

Being perfectly clear about it, pirating games these days doesn't seem like such fun--because where are they going to get their updates from?--maybe pirating sites, I suppose. I've talked with people who want me to believe that they believe that "software has no value"--that it's literally worthless and so it should be free of charge. But the same people gladly pay out thousands for hardware because, of course, that cannot be pirated. The irony of this particular rationalization is that without the software they think has no value their hardware wouldn't be worth a nickel..;) If they had no software--what worth would their hardware have? Most thieves are pretty stupid, imo, and the ones who talk openly of stealing games without paying are the dumbest and certainly must derive scant enjoyment from the games they steal.

Their rationalizations are very funny--I mean, if they really thought games were all terrible and not worth anything then why would they bother stealing them in the first place? Why would they bother spending loads of money on hardware just to run the games they say are so lousy they are worthless?

Look at CDPR and the CP2077 launch, between the pre-orders and the sales the first week after launch that's 13 million paying customers! Obviously the honest customers far outnumber the thieves out there...;) That's fortunate for everyone because without paying customers there would be no software game-development industry today--and no games for the pirates to steal.
13 million copies sold, after refunds /pc/PS4/Xbone ..
Whole piracy concept is "null and void"..13 mill...
Soo.. if they sold and I'm gonna be nice here..just 2 million on GOG, that's 120.000.000€uroDollars and let's say Polish government takes from 25-40% .

What they really need to pull is an: "No man's Sky" if they want their customers back(and from the looks of it, they were actually planning to pull Fallout 76 , make microtrans BS and cashout and sell GOG and CDPR to either M$ OR sONY....
Shitty part is, I know there is an fork in CP2077 development cycle where greed took over earned thrust that helped them sell 13 mill fckin copies.

And, no one was thrilled about either Keanu or Ray Tracing(I feel they wasted too much time listening marketing department), I bet those things(actor, his bike firm and GeForce Ampere release) didn't add 0.001% to sales...

For me, it's an happy coincidence, I will not buy 2077 until summer(because, it's really bad time to buy HW) and I feel GPUs will be available+ some stable ver.1.89d of the gaem.
If not, shame, but at least I didn't spent 2000€ to play one game..
Tw1 was enough, they restarted WRPGs on PC back in 2007, all downhill since then, but no more free passes

Remember Fallout 4 release

Majority of the people could not play why

Nvidia adding their trash into the mix in hopes to scoop sales on peoples demand for Fallout 4 it's the same story every damned time and Nvidia Always have some wank name for their New old acquisition, They then rebadge and softlock everything causing detrimental effects on final products and even go as far to limit performance on devices simply over Device IDs..

Tessellation anyone ???
Physx Softlocks ???
GPU Tuner OC for 3D Mark ???
Investor Defrauding over poor manufacturing choice losing them an entire Chip market removing them entirely from the mainboard sector ???

Nvidia are so shady so so Shady, Intel are the same..

I'm using both not a fan or a loyal customer and Not an AMD lover there are no teams just disgusting practices and lying they all do it.

This game is not ready for retail release the core story is broken the Ai is broken interactions are broken Offsets for player items are wrong, Z depth issues, Geometry that's missing, Sound Effects placed incorrectly, Scripted sequences that won't resume correctly if the player loads a save, Script sequences that fail to execute or end because not fleshed out.

Only have 125hrs played all the side quests etc some of the Achievements don't even register but that's not even a low priority problem.

Oh those free games have a price these people just don't know what it is, so they pirate a game they're welcomed to a botnet and become part of a larger problem it used to be just malicious people releasing an infected crack to destroy some unknowns system now it's about utilising that persons hardware from Crypto Mining to acting as a Proxy for a Cryptolock scam to all kinds of whacky stuff.

Lmao, Corporate slaving at its finest. Understand this, you say we are leeching in an unfair and unjust way right? Then why is it in the year 2020 I cant purchase a game that was marketed to be ready on release day without it being riddled with bugs? These corporations like CD Projekt don't care if they robbed me of $60. The whole argument of us being "sociopath's" is so dramatic its not even funny. I pay gamepass every single month because there is no reason to purchase any game nowadays whatsoever. If you want to be a slave to these corporations be my guest, but me, I'd rather screw them as I please thank you very much...

TencentInvestor: I get most value out of Gamepass and Humble Bundles these days. Compared with these, a release like Cyberpunk is really not cutting it for 60 bucks. If anything, they should pay us for playtesting.
Why would they pay you when you continue to troll these forums and let Cyberpunk live in your head rent free? You clearly can't move on with your life even though you don't like the game and all that value you get from game pass must not be doing much if this is still how you are choosing to spend your free time. Honest question for you TencentInvestor, do you have a mental illness?

You can call me fanboy or whatever. True I like the game, hence the reason I'm here, but you. What reason do you have to continually waste your time on this forum? You act like 60 dollars is a lot of money, and it might be for you, but the sheer amount of time you have spent in the Cyberpunk forums is enough to make 60 dollars several times over; even at a low wage job. So what's really going on at home with you? It's honestly reached the point of being unhealthy and I hope this serves as a wake up call.

Put it down, it's a video game where you can one shot kill people with a dildo, it's not that serious.

Oh, come on, it's not that bad. It's at least decent, maybe not great, but it's ok.

I completely agree on the bug part, but I myself didn't encounter any game breaking bugs. The sales driven logic to churn out games before christmas, even if they still have bugs, is, tragically, a consequence of economic considerations. You have full right to be angry about that and CD Project should simply use the great economic success of Cyberpunk to placate people like you.

Maybe they should give people like you a DLC for free or something else. Then they have their premature publishing and you have some reward for putting up with bugs.

In fact, you even admit it yourself: If the game were bad, you wouldn't care about it and play something else. Instead you are talking about pirating it. So, obviously you desperately want to play the game right now and can't even wait for a sale.

so long they can declare your licence null void i don't see how legally one can be called a pirate.
both sides of the coin are dealing with shady business practice and are pirating legal loop holes to steal from customers.

It seems you leave trolling to others like CDPR left greed to others.

The only mental illness I see here is Stockholm syndrome displayed by people defending CDPR and GOG instead of looking at the facts. I would have moved on if GOG had refunded as promised by their own policy.

VisualBlack: Funny how someone makes a cluster bomb, fire blazing, nonsense full of foolhardly claptrap ideas when you can literally just wait until they "ironed out" the game.

If you don't like the games that you play, then why did you buy it?

The biggest mistake that you'll ever do is post unpleasent topics, talking about "pirating" games, to insult the devs on their own website. That will get you banned.

Second, what I am reading from you is atrocious and despicable. You're probably one of those guys who goes around telling good devs that they don't deserve free money but will still keep the game. But will invest in bad companies like Crapcom, bandai, EA and other triple A's drug snorting thieves who constantly rips off their customers calling us losers.

CDPR is one of the few companies that respects its customers. They really earned our money for the hard work that they did., even if they didn't finish the game yet, they will still fix it after the release so in a couple of patches, the game will be stable and playable.
hahahahahaha respect their customers? Are you a fanboi kidding? Lying to it's customers, and deceiving them, go tell the nonsense lie to all the people on consoles....tell that to Sony that pulled the game from digital sales...oh yeah, they sure are respecting their customers....

I got my refund email back today....after putting in on the 11th for a refund on this fraudulent game I'm getting my money back

I just got my email for the refund for an actual person today saying it was being refunded....I put in for the refund on the 11th, day after release with a mere 10hrs into the game......took them 18 days to issue a refund....of course, they take your money instantly, yet I will have to wait several days for the refund to go thru.....

You will get your refund. I will NEVER but a CDPR game EVER again.

Sad that most of you get mad at CDPR instead of looking to the brighter side. Cyberpunk 2077 was suppose to be the only game they will fix until you guys keep kicking them to the ground. Especially people who watches Continuous Delivery's video reviewing CDPR Software Engine, bashes CDPR also.

Maybe you guys have to put a little faith in CDPR instead of bashing and warning others not to buy their games because that's when you make an enemy out of CD projekt red and people will regret this later on.

It amazes me the fanbois come out of the woodwork to defend broken games. You people are fools. I, being 46 yrs old and have been gaming on original consoles like Bally/Colleco/Intellivision in the early 80s, have NEVER seen a broken game such as CyberCRAP.

You fanbois are the reason devs put out this crap, cuz you suck it up like an apple product.

mostly people buy stuff that works not something like "work in progress"
if you buy your car it also include wheels and can drive right? or are you waiting 10 months before it's drive ready?

coming to think of it you sound a little like Steve who talk about his great Mercedes that only stands in the garage.
