Do you think Reg, the guy I replied to, the guy you hit it off with and totally agreed with, the guy who is proud to have been pirating his shit for 20 years, is even doing that much? Because I sure don't.

REG2012: I'm not the bully. I'm fighting back from being bullied. All those fucken assholes that bullied me back in school are now going to feel the pain one hundred fold. They put in effort to get where they are. And I get to enjoy the benefits. I'm not talking about devs. But CEOs and managers. And those higher ups. Everytime I pirate a game it feels good knowing that those higher ups can't afford that new yacht or car. Or whatever generic clichéd bullshit they spend their money on. Paybacks a bitch cunts.

I do buy games. I haven't pirated every game. I originally did it because I couldn't afford to buy all the games I wanted to. But then I kept doing it. I've saved a lot of money. Money that I use to upgrade my PC. Or for a new build.
pirating is not fighting back man.. its like in "rpgs" you know,, buying is yes, pirating is sarcastic yes and not playing the shitty games that dont deserve money, that would be a no.. but as we learned from other topics these choices dont really exist right^^

on the other hand i dont see such a big problem in pirating.. that "pirates" are the reason why indie devs go broke is just a straight up lie

and big companies dont deserve money anyways (i mean ubisoft, blizzard and all that)

actually i am thankful to people who pirate their epic exclusives for example because if they would buy it they would just proof the lazy devs ripoff would be enough and the next game would be even worse

and i bought cyberpunk not for the games sake (i knew how it was gonna be, its exactly what i expected and i didnt like witcher 3) but i bought it for gog's sake cause no-drm is good policy (but now that devotion drama made me sad)

Yea it is. Every gamer who pirates lessens their profits. If it was just a handful then it wouldn't make an impact. But it's millions of us doing it. They could make so much more but why should we let them?

Piracy will always exist. Just like criminals will always exist. You can't completely stop it lol.
Clearly, you've never played Fallout 76 right after it was released. If you did, you would just be annoyed by Cyberpunk 2077's problems instead of feeling rage and/or hatred. It seems you let the hype convince you that this game would be one of the best gamers ever made in human history. It's not at this point in time. That sucks. Not like it's garbage though.

smuggly: You may want to read up on the new rules concerning copyright in the new gigantic pork bill if your in the USA. I doubt the government is smart enough to catch anyone but the Copyright holders will do it. Theres an excellent write up on it on PCGamers I think. If it gets signed it's gonna totally screw up everything.
The bad part is the CASE act.
They declared death on piracy years ago, and it's still there.
On this thread though, pirating the game at the moment doesn't make much sense as you'll just have the glitchy and buggy experience everyone has. And when it'll be in the cheap games bin, it'll be worth the price because the bugs will have been finally ironed out, the removed content will be added back in and we should have an actual AI.
Funny how someone makes a cluster bomb, fire blazing, nonsense full of foolhardly claptrap ideas when you can literally just wait until they "ironed out" the game.

If you don't like the games that you play, then why did you buy it?

The biggest mistake that you'll ever do is post unpleasent topics, talking about "pirating" games, to insult the devs on their own website. That will get you banned.

Second, what I am reading from you is atrocious and despicable. You're probably one of those guys who goes around telling good devs that they don't deserve free money but will still keep the game. But will invest in bad companies like Crapcom, bandai, EA and other triple A's drug snorting thieves who constantly rips off their customers calling us losers.

CDPR is one of the few companies that respects its customers. They really earned our money for the hard work that they did., even if they didn't finish the game yet, they will still fix it after the release so in a couple of patches, the game will be stable and playable.

You must have meant that it re-specs the customer. You may have bought a game that was in development for PS 4 and Xbox One several years, but you cannot run the game on these systems. Surprise! They decided to re-spec! Instead of making a functional game, they decided that future hardware will entangle their spaghetti code somehow and brute force their lackluster product into working somehow.

This is how CDPR re-specs customers.

At your age, you should be cringing with embarrassment at the mere thought of typing out this collection of sentences rather than actually DOING it and then actually posting them. I know I'm cringing at what you have typed to justify your decades of thievery.

They made a mistake trying to get it to run on older consoles. It's a good game that simply runs better on Windows 10 and Series X and PS5.

You do realize that even companies spending millions to try to avoid piracy with Shitnuvo are still being pirated in the end, right?

Pirates are going to pirate, no matter what. People who have money to spend and want to buy a game will continue to do so even if they can just pirate a game. Even if one day, DRM makes piracy dissappear, it just means a lot of people waiting to buy games when they are really cheap or not buying them ever. Why did I buy Cyberpunk 2077 instead of just pirating it in 2 seconds? Because of the desire to reward people for their work. I believe in fariness. People who don't will just wait until they can find a way to make sure, the outcome is unfair. Fortunately, the people who run GOG understand this so they offer DRM free games for purchase to make profit.
