What a horrible way to end V's story. The only palatable one is the original Nomad ending. The rest of the original endings are either ambiguous to the point of being, well, pointless or stupid (going into space, committing suicide, letting Johnny take over the body).

I thought with PL we'd get something that felt more complete. Well, I guess we did. Wake up after 2 years in a coma and V's life totally sucks...ah, such wonderful writing. V couldn't tell anyone that they were going for experimental surgery...couldn't get Reed to inform V's love interest...makes sense if you are a Bioware writer and this was Mass Effect with its crap ending. But CP2077 had a great story; interesting and compelling. Then CDPR presents a dog's breakfast of an ending.

Please, CDPR, provide a patch. A small one. Just something that allow V to get cured and maintain a modicum of their former life. There was no need to virtually crap all over the main character.

Could you imagine if they did that to Geralt. He ends up with nothing, alone and forgotten. His Witcher abilities stripped from him. There would have been a revolt. There should be one over the endings to PL..

Don't like it, make a mod with your own ending. Don't expect the developers to cater to every wish for every permutation of an ending out there.

This, really. A not-small group of players were hoping that PL might expand on the emotional endings that were available to V. Wouldn't have been a big thing to do, but the vibe for CP and extended into PL is clearly "what's the point?" nihilism I guess.

Just about every ending is begging for a "How it should have ended" satirical take where "V wakes up in the chair at Viktors, gets the news, sits up and unholsters their pistol, puts the barrel against their temple..."

It was completely unnecessary. If you want to take V as a merc out of the equation, fine...keep the cost of them losing all their abilities. But adding in everyone in their life abandoning them because of some coma bullshit makes me wonder if the writers enjoy kicking puppies. They could have just as easily had V leave the city with the nomads after the operation.

If you want crap attitude, I could've said make your own cyberpunk game. Point is, developers are already as busy as it gets. If you want them to do something you want, well, do it yourself, don't expect someone else to do it for you. If the endings were that bad, and there was a massive outcry (which there isn't, no matter how much you disagree), sure, developers would've listened. But there's isn't. Get real and move on with your live, this is such a trivial matter to waste your time crying about. Get over it, it's their game, their artistic vision, you want to make it yours, well, I already gave a solution on how to do that.

There has been tons of negative feedback on that ending in particular on every discussion forum about the game, but if you want to ignore facts as an excuse to be a toxic jackass, hey...you do you.

People are expressing. Obviously there is no further development on the game so, what a silly strawman attack to suggest people offering their opinion are expecting CDPR to leap up and do some more work on CP.

What's being said in this thread isn't a request. What is being said, and the point, is that PL represented the final opportunity to do something different with the ending, and they just added more of the same. There were already a plethora of "well, life sucks" endings, they could have crafted a positive one during PL development when the resources were available.

And, though it may not have been 'massive', there were definitely already calls for, and hopes for, a positive story ending.

I just don't see how you think you're providing any value by attacking people who are simply saying they are disappointed CDPR just added more dark endings.

You know almost immediately that songbird is a lying about helping you. So yeah, save the president. Then you figure out reed is a creep too. The short text answers don't always match the long responses is some critical areas.

After the party scene, I think I'm better off with Hansen than reed and songbird. I get to the lab and I'm trying to find the text lines that betray both reed and songbird and go with Hansen. At least that guy is in control and not just tying the strings together to make a rope to hang someone else.

Yeah, the story in PL looks like it was written by many different people in isolation from each other and stuffed into a bag. By the end, I just wanted them all dead so I could get back to the regular story line. Sadly in a huge game FU, reed walks away, the game plays some music and then screen goes black and CTOD. Screw this game.

Might be an unpopular opinion but screw it. If you want a happy ending, go watch a romcom. This is cyberpunk and in cyberpunk the world always eats you alive and spits out just boots and clothes. Some get theirs sooner, some later but they will get it in some shape or form.
