Yeah.. I have seen some argue its more "balanced"
So to put that into perspective, lets shift over the limitations on netrunner to melee/gun stealth play.
No silencers or throwing daggers or silent take downs till you say level 15...
If you want silent take downs you have to shoot a silencer at the ground near an something that explodes... then shoot the explosive.
If you shoot someone in the head or silent takedown any enemy, every other enemy in the entire level will in a few seconds know where you are.
Enjoy your stealth gameplay till then.
Some have been arguing about "they are connected to the network thats why hacks always get a trace even if the guy dies"
Yeah, they are connected to the network and I thin them flatlining after their mods detect massive physical trauma by a bullet or a blade will also alert everyone else in the network they are connected too.
The changes to netrunner don't make sense, from a logical perspective, and they REDUCE the gameplay choices of players playing netrunner.
This is the complete reverse for every other playstyle... which got improved with 2.0.
Cyberpunk has been improved in almost everyway and is overall far better.
The changes to netrunner were dumb, illogical in a gameworld perspective and are intended to allow only a single way to play.
At least ill you get very high level and get specific high level hacks.
Netrunner has been turned into an action class that NEEDS to enter combat for the most part...
Pre 2.0 you could play this way, or you could go the silent netrunner assassin route...
Some people will claim being able to wipe out entire bases with netrunner was OP.
However the points stand.
1.Its a single player game.
2.Using a Sandi or other non netrunner build could generally clear the same base in a fraction of the time a Netrunner could. So while it was "safer" the player already paid for it by time spent.
