Was thinking on how to 'fix' the game and regain consumer trust. Here is a bit of a roadmap that I put together for what I think would be a great way for CDPR to get everything back in order.

Free fixes/additions:
- Obvious bug/performance fixes.
- Be able to buy multiple homes/apartments. Set default 'home'.
- AI overhaul.
- Police system fix.
- Barber shop/appearance change locations.
- Weapon and clothing transmog system.
- More in-depth car system/transmogs.
- Mini-map/Navigation restructuring

Free DLC #1:
- Include more quests related to the life path that you chose. These do not have to impact the end of the game, but having at least a handful of smaller quests related to each life path would be good.
- Include more content that relates to the gangs of night city and the fixers. Make them stand out, be different and give them personalities. Again, these do not have to impact the ending of the game, but this would give each area a more distinct feel.

Free DLC #2 and #3:
- I think it would be a major move toward success if CDPR added in two free DLCs to give everyone another male and female romance option that could be romanced by male or female V. Give them both a quest line like the other romance options and have them involved in the end game scenarios just like the other four options are.

Paid DLC:
- If they can come even close to the paid DLCs for The Witcher 3 then they will have knocked paid DLC out of the park. There are a ton of options to choose from, but mirroring the sheer amount of content and depth from the Witcher 3's paid DLCs is what I think they ought to aim for.

I would say all of this depends on the patches. The first patch should be a good one also. It would slow the rage a bit. Then fullfill all they have said. I think it will be a good game when they are done.I'm waiting for the next patch to play through if it's a good patch. It will be a slow slog to get the fans back.
I doubt much of that roadmap is going to happen. We're 40 days after launch, just about, and the game is now 17 in Steam stats. Overtaken by Football Manager 21 and Stardew Valley. Still some 20k active players ahead of Civ 6 and 30k ahead of Total Warhammer 2.

But we're 40 days after launch and the game is down to some 50-60k active players on Steam. And they're spending the next 40 days just doing bug fixing without doing anything to make up for their false advertising.

So by the time they're ready to start trying to actually add something to the game, I suspect the audience for it will have shrunk rather dramatically. If there's not a whole lot of people left playing the game then why would they bother spending maybe an entire year just building new mechanics to replace the underbaked things in the game?

Stores in Brazil and the USA already sell Cyberpunk 2077 for half the price.
"In yet another tragic consequence of the troubled launch of Cyberpunk 2077, stores in Brazil and the United States are selling the game for half the price, just over a month after the launch."

They have 2021, if much.

‘Regaining the trust’ is not applicable here. The state of the game, and the myriad issues around release have already defined those who will stick with the game to justify their faith and money spent, and those who have already given up and walked away/been put off purchasing.

It’s clear to me the ‘roadmap’ is all about bugfixing. Zero hope of fleshing out/restoring/improving game mechanics.

People bang on about the developers of No Man’s Sky ‘regaining trust’ - but ‘fess up, if Sean Murray announced another major release pre-order, would you really have faith in him again despite the NMS one-off rescue heroics?

I suspect releases like this burn bridges with much of the fanbase/developer faithful.

You can bet the mushrooms of the world would, They say idiotic things like "I have disposable income" if it's so disposable why don't they buy a homeless person lunch or breakfast nope, give it to the swaths of boards who run the pseudo charities that can afford $5000 advertising runs every other day.

Your vision is tainted.
I don't play the game to justify anything. I have no faith in "corpos". I feel like many others. WE (inclusive, unlike your accusation) were not given anything even close to what was promised, and WE (inclusive) wished it were different. Unfortunately what we have is what we have. This does not mean that we can't enjoy what we have. I could care less what happens tomorrow or with DLC's. What I have today, I find things within the confines of the program, entertaining and enjoyable.

There's not 2 sides of this release/issue. We are all affected by it. Some of us choose to play it because there is entertainment value.

They need to release a No Man's Sky style Foundation patch that fixes the game and makes the base story legit. They can take 6 months or a year if they want. I don't care, I'm not buying until they do this. I pretend this game doesn't exist yet. I'd pay extra for something as substantial as a Witcher3 DLC on top of that and continue buying story packs for years to come. They have to finish the base game first and quietly relaunch it like Hello Games did.
thet CANT fix this game, its unfixable. thay can only REWORK it (and thats way more work, and i hope they will choose that path) and actually finish the game environemnt to make night city a living organism and make it a PROPER rpg sandbox as was promised... add whole chunks of cut content, mechanics and so forth and so on. literally everything. currently its nothing like what was advertised. a 'skeleton crew' of what it was supposed to be.
simple bug fixes and minor improvements wont save this game. no extra romance bullslhit, life path stories an so on, its all nonsense, nor playable characters, its all bells and whistles. thay need to do more and actually rework and properly finish this damn game. its all pretty sad really.

You do realise it's not made of Concrete or Cast Iron and even those can be tinkered with Cast Iron suck though.

This is precisely why I applied for a refund on my GOG purchase.

The best CDPR will/can do is better optimisation and bug-fixing. The mis-sold/cut/omitted/implied content is not going to be ‘fixed’, because both CPDR and enough of the fanbase are evidently satisfied with the resulting on-rails open world looter shooter; rather than the RPG centric game mechanics promised during the last 3 years.

Best you can hope for - more haircuts/genitals on the creation menu; minor changes to the more annoying UI/driving aspects; some cosmetic freebies; and a few Borderlands-esque DLC.

If you wanted an engaging RPG in a Cyberpunk setting where you and your choices created the story, sorry - ain’t going to happen with this game. Best accept it and move on to something else.

what i meant was that its not about simple fixes of content that is currently there to just work properly without bugs, but about inclusion of whole missing elements of the game, wastly expand others, and that goes beyond "fix" definition, thats why i said it needs "rework" treatment instead.

If they go forward with such a self-satisfied approach instead of retooling for the RPG fans and allowing more dev time to let the project tighten up organically then I'm done with their games for a long time. I was actually reluctant to support them once the mismanagement and crunch news was reported during Witcher 3's development. CDP will be just the GOG.com company to me from that point on, sans Red.

Why not open source this game? Maybe it would become a modding phenomenon greater than all the closed source open-world RPGs out there that modders fight with. Would really suit the theme of Cyberpunk.

I would like to share my experience regarding Police NPC A.I. this evening I just experience for the first time when I accidentally hit officer with my caliburn and the issued a warrant and I reach Star level two. When I thought I was far enough and parked my Caliburn to finish my finale Crimes in progress missions the police office I struck spotted me and started heading in my direction while I was attempting to clear out my finale side mission. I was eventually taken out but not by the NCPD But the goons I was facing . On the map you can see that I was slowly being surrounded by NCPD before I zeroed out.
I'm not sure if any other user experienced what I just did. It caught me off guard a bit. To me this appears to be a first step of progress regarding NCPD. I'm playing on Xbox One X first gen.
