PC games are not usually region-locked. That only happens if a publisher lowers the price of their game but only for certain regions.

this has become common.

Everything is region locked.

You have to make artificial walls. so people buy the same thing again and again and again.

Region lock in DRM Free game? hmm... =]
The only thing like this I have encountered on here would be Dying Light being taken off the store for germany. Reason was, the game was on the "index", which means it isn't allowed to be displayed or advertised for in shops, but it is NOT illegal and you can ask the store clerk and still buy it. The store just isn't allowed to put it on display anywhere.

As such it was quite puzzling to see that GoG flat out removed the game for germany, not even the product website with direct link existed if you were from germany. That's not how the index is supposed to work. If I know the game exists, and want to purchase it, and ask the store for it, I am allowed to buy. Entering a direct link to the game that is not advertised anywhere outside of that games store page should have been enough as far as I know.

But, now to the relevant part, you can easily use a (trusted!) proxy or VPN service to connect to GoG and log into your own account to purchase "from USA" or "from Japan", wherever you'd like to appear to be from. That said, I'd just wait a while. Maybe it's some legal or technical stuff that needs to go through before they are allowed to sell it to India.
Game is DRM free. I highly doublt it is region locked...
Also if playing on PC it would be doubly odd with a DRM free game.

Blazing Chrome is region locked in Asia.
Wolfenstein Series, Commandos Series - all games that got swastikas in it are blocked in Germany - because it is forbidden to use them in games here. This rule is loosened now for new games (the recent Wolfenstein) but not for the old ones. Furthermore are games blocked where the rights are unclear or a publisher simply doesn't want to have it published (for which reasons whatsoever).

The term region-locked, in the sense the OP was using it, is exclusively for referring to something completely different from what you are talking about: Being able to play the game only in the region from which you purchase the game (as opposed to not being able to sell or buy the game to or from a certain region).

And as it was already stated above, having any kind of region lock means CDPR/GOG could not claim that the game is DRM free. So, the answer to the OP is "No. Buy the game normally."... moving on.

Hi, I'm from Morocco North Africa and I already pre ordered the game, my region is not exactly a technologically advanced one so I don't see why any other region would have a technical problem with purchases.

I have been facing a similar problem while playing the game. Especially on the campus network, where I spend most of my time. I literally tried everything from top to bottom consisting of OS tweaks, Network tweaks, using a different wireless adapter but all effort in vain.

Luckily, I came across a thread on another tech forum (toms) where many fellow gamers who were previously facing the issue shared their experience along with what kind of alternative/ solution they were able to use to counter this problem. From there, for the first time in my life, I understood how meaningful a VPN could be for a gamer like us.

Out of many recommendations, I tried a few and then settled for PureVPN which allows me to play the game without any hassle by simply connecting to any of the available servers close to my location. By using PureVPN I am also able to unlock many other region-locked games and content (DLC) and not to forget enjoy more economical prices of games when it comes to purchasing new games because all major launching platforms are offering different prices in different regions, and this is exactly where using a VPN proves healthy.

The best approach would be to go search on google about PureVPN or any other VPN service and see which one suits you the best, in my case as mentioned already I am able to achieve wonders and enjoy gaming once again both at home and campus without any hassle or issues which usually a NAT type network does.
