Redmarble: urgh..ok this insanity is taking way too long ! hello GoG and CDPR? are you enjoying that money ? ...
Trust me, they are, Elon Musk just sent their stock sky high with investments, they are happy and rolling in dough right now.
Requested the refund at Jan 18 and got refunded at Feb 02. Thanks GOG staff, sorry that it turned out like this.
Lesson learned for a lifetime, that i'll never ever again preorder until i see the final product.
Hey there just wanted to give an update on my refund request. I submitted mine on Dec 22nd and got my first response by an actual representative on Jan 25th and they stated the following According to our logs Cyberpunk 2077 has been added to your GOG Library via code and not purchased directly at our store. In such case, please contact the retailer or code reseller on the matter of obtaining a refund”. I purchased my code through Play Asia (online retailer). When I first attempted my refund request through Play Asia they did not want to give me a refund and instead sent me the link to request it from GOG. I tried multiple times to get my refund from Play Asia but ultimately they just stop replying to me. I stated this in my reply to GOG and I even included screenshots of the conversation I had with the Play Asia representative and I got a reply from GOG within 6 minutes of submitting my screenshots. Now I got my first reply from GOG on Jan 25th at 11:02 and I replied with all my information and screenshots on Jan 25th at 11:12 and then GOG responds on Jan 25th at 11:18 with the GOG representative asking me if the copy I purchased from Play Asia was a PC physical copy of the game. I replied shortly after receiving that message and have not heard anything back from GOG. Now I find it strange that the representative started replying at a timely manner but as soon as the representative found my issue complicated they stopped replying. I have messaged them asking for an update on Jan 28th but I have yet to hear back from GOG. I just wanted store credit but this is unacceptable guys. They must be getting some type of notification of our replies because how is it possible for them to not respond on over a month, then when they do respond I send them screenshots and proof of the exchange I had with Play Asia and not even 10 minutes later I get another response from GOG and now nothing. Let this be a warning not to preorder games because all it does is guarantee a company earned profit.

Oof, that's rough. That's where i bought mine from, too. It's only because i gave up and just kept it that I'm still modding the hell out of it to try to slog through..

Yeah, I wasn't doing it at all, CDPR had my trust, never again from them, too. I didn't even Pre-order RDR2 from Rockstar, who I should have, hah..
I asked for the refund the 6th of January and got it the 12th. Quite shocked that people that asked for it way before me got it way later. Seems there is no first come first served policy. Wth...

That is faster than most others. Out of interest, was the refund a GOG wallet or full money back?

And did it come with a free source code?
I realise I never updated the thread!

I did finally get my refund, 5-6 weeks after the initial request. I can see that the thread hasn't been updated for a few weeks, so I hope everyone else who was waiting as it now too.

Rarzie: Finally got my refund. Seems they've arrived at ~22 December in the refund requests. What a disappointment this whole debacle was.

Omarios: Someone earlier in the thread nailed it for me. CDPR had customer’s money for a long time with all those pre-orders, turned out a grossly oversold product, then the final insult was that those of us who supported them on their own platform - GOG - were put at the back of the queue when it came to refunds.

I’ve seen enough of this company in the last month to know that, aside from keeping my purchased GOG games updated, I want nothing more to do with them.
Agreed

Most software publishers should be dissolved for the betterment of Everyone.
