zzztopzzz: How many of you out there had someone twisting your arm when you bought the game?
You cannot be this ignorant. Please man, you can do better.

happystuffing: Let's start a refund thread shall we?

I took up GOG on their refund policy. Instead I was given a canned email question if I would accept store credit instead. After giving them a hard NO, I would like a refund to my VISA, they have been radio silent.

This was two days ago.

Anyone else feel like they are being screwed over on this whole Cyberpunk 2077 experience? Or lack thereof..
I got a refund for a GoG game I bought and didn't play once (Imperator Rome, after reading their nasty sub contract while installing), but only after appeal. The initial GoG rep. flat out refused to refund, even though Money Back Guarantee was posted on the game page. Had to threaten to appeal to my bank to have their site blacklisted for fraud.

That was when I started buying games on Steam again. Makes me miss the brick and mortar days.

*edit: Got my Cyberpunk refund from Amazon, where I'd pre-ordered it for the PS4. Dodged a bullet with that one.

Going week 2.0 since refund request has been logged.

I hoped for more when I thought I left behind steam's refund methodology since the whole doom de dac event, but it seems in the end they are still "the best". Not like its any good when it actually matters; that thing called customer protection/service.

Sadly it seems that "good" old games are lining themselves up with "when it suits us" we refund you. That was pretty much the reason why I left steam for "good" old games. I even didn't mind paying up to 25% more just to support the "good" guy.

However now that it actually matters; you are not coming through for us.

I also asked for a refund the day after the game was launched. It's been 12 days now since I did and still haven't heard anything but the automated question whether I would like store credit or not. I clearly state I want the money to go back into my bank account and haven't heard a word since. For the record I played the game for 2 hours trying to get it to work. I'm getting 12-15 fps and my specs are exactly the recommended specs from CDPR to be able to run the game on high graphics 1080p and the game won't run above 18-20 fps on low graphics. My total played is 9 hours and the only reason is 9 hours is because I've been trying to get the game to run trying a bunch of different suggestions found on the web. My story progression is at 1% I didn't actually play the game I had it standing inside the characters apartment trying to get it to run on a playable state but couldn't. So after the 2nd day the game was out I gave up trying to get it to work and been waiting for a response from GoG since.
I finally got a reply after 12 days and they granted me the refund I requested. Not sure whether they finally got around my request or whether it was me messaging ponczo but it got sorted.

It's good news. That's what counts.
it's about 10 days that i waiting for wallet refunds and still i don't understand why. It's obvious to me that people that are asking for wallet refund are about to use this funds in order to take advantage for winter sale , get some games ,move on, have some xmas gaming session and reconsider buying cp later. It is still a profit for gog! a good compromise in my opinion, btw the response mail says that wallet funds are credited "immediately". Obviously they should honor also credit card refunds. If 24 hours are more than enough for wallet refunds, 4/5 businnes days should be enough for the others type of refunds. They don't need to talk personally with the person that are asking for refunds! so what they are doing? it seems to me a self-injurious practice
Today (after 10 days) I got the message that the refund will be processed.

I've been enjoying myself with Immortals Fenyx Rising in the meantime.

Who would have thought? A Ubisoft game blowing CDPR out of the water when it comes to launch quality.

Playing Rage2 while I wait on XBGP PC. So far it is actually better than what I expected for a point, shoot and kill.
refunds & gog , you know, they have no DRM .

on steam they can prevent you from playing the game, gog can not do that.

simply do NOT pre-order, do NOT buy on release day.

just wait for reviews and sales.

with all these bugs the software should be on sale right now at a fraction of the price.
Hey there

Just wanted to add to this post with my experience.

After playing the game for a bit and mulling over whether to let the game sit for a few months or get a refund, I decided on the latter. Requested a refund on the 13th. Responded to the automated message confirming I was fine with funds being returned to my GOG wallet. Now I'm just waiting. I'll come back and post something when I get an update from support.

Good luck, everyone.
Well, I made the mistake of pre-ordering.
I did requested a refund but I don't think I will get it. I got no reply besides the automated reply.

So... I Just accepted that I lost $60.

It's my fault too.
Never, ever, pre-order. It's not like there is a limited supply for digital copies.

CDPR marketing devision did an excelent job. I didn't notice the lie till it was too late.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Well...Shame on you CDPR. You won't fool me again.
Requested a refund. We'll see. There is no reason for them to deny me -- I'm well within their own 30 days of purchasing the thing window.

Considering the message in the response mail stating that they're currently swamped, I won't expect a response any time soon.
