They won't attack you if you're using melee weapons or quickhacks. If they see you using firearms they go bonkers. It's stupid. I've had them run into mission areas on gigs in v2.0 as well. Basically you need a little distance or a few walls between you and the police to get them not to intervene, if you plan on using firearms.

You don't even have to have a weapon out.
I have walked around one or two of those barricades they put up and JUST by walking by, they go all hostile and will start shooting!

I know this happened before, but it used to be when you went INSIDE the barricades.

I had a cop sitting stand still in a traffic jam, as soon as I started to go around he rammed into me which gave me one star and started a chase.Good police work fellows.

Got a minor update.

Tonight when I went to talk to Takamura, after rezzing from the dead, I went past one of these cordons in the area of the reteraunt.
They did NOT attack or even get alert.

I'm wondering if the devs who placed them in open world areas set them to hostile.... while the people who handled the questline stuff set them to neutral.... or something like that?
