Other game company did it way better.
They showed Video preset, targeting fps and resolution.

Yesterday CDPR has released the system specs for this game. The GPU they recommend is a GTX 1060 6GB.
I have doubts this GPU can handle 60fps @ video preset ultra (also high i dont think it is possible to achieve stable 60 fps @ high) in 1080p.
I reckon this GPU can only handle 1080p @ 40-50 fps video preset medium - high.

The recomm. specs from The Witcher 3 is a GTX 770 and this card is not powerful enough to achieve stable 60 fps @ 1080p / high

CDPR please release the system specs with more detailled infos.
Thank you very much.

Exactly what I was telling people, but they were like "Oh no, I need two 2070 to run this!".

It is a damn PS4 game.

And the graphics are nothing spectacular, just some fancy lights.

They will at least release more info on specific resolutions. https://twitter.com/Marcin360/status/1307002627767570432

But who knows, this game seems to be very well optimized looking at the specs and storage requirement.

EDIT: The minimum specs are for 1080p LOW and the recommended are for 1080p HIGH

No info about FPS, but i'd assume 60.

Maybe they mastered DirectX 12 and it shows in the requirments now. That would be a vindication for their decision to go for Win10 only release.

But requirements for ray tracing are missing?

Yeah, I guess we have to wait for that. Given the posted specs, I expect that RTX 2060 Super will be able to handle ray tracing in this game quite good.

But it's not Win10 only? It also runs on Win7. At least for the minimum specs.

And Ray Tracing specs will follow. https://twitter.com/Marcin360/status/1307002627767570432

You are correct. I just found that DX12 games can be ported to Win 7 with some limitations that should not affect performance.

the 1060 is actually a solid card, even compared to the 20xx series. i wouldn't be surprised if it runs the game fine.
the main thing you wont get with it tho is the ray tracing etc. you will with a 20xx card.

GTX 1060 3GB/6GB is a scam in plain sight. NVIDIA got away with that scam because of your manufactured consent.

Is your mind blown how people fall for same thing every time? It shouldn't be. Because divided, singled out individuals has no chance against organized criminal entity; corporation.

Corporation is an approved scam & spy business. Their approval was obtained through manufactured consent. Corporation is not the industry of manufacturing products. Corporation is in the industry of manufacturing consent.

Free merch > Free speech.

Corporate, what kind of _free_ manufactured merchandise must be in your goodie bag to consent investing into paradise?
1060 can't even run Witcher 3 properly, or in some unfortunate cases even Witcher 2. Well maybe you can get 20-30 FPS on 1080p and that would be it. Playable? Technically yes. Enjoyable? Not at all.

Weird. I can play Witcher 3 in 1080 on a GTX 970. Not at a steady 60 FPS with high quality graphics, of course, but when you've got old hardware then you make do with what you get.

nothing weird, that's exactly what I mean. you can downgrade visuals, lower resolution etc and get 60 FPS on older card. But that can bring very unpleasant picture if you have big screen and downscale quality too much. In my understanding recommended system specs have to be sufficient to run game at 60fps on 1080p without compromising quality too much.

Huh, many youtubers with 1060 run it at 60 fps maxed out and with hairworks. Even my puny 1050 TI can get me 40fps. I played most of it at around 25 fps and mediumish settings with my old 660 and ancient q6600 processor, but I'm not that pretentious about visuals anyway.

Major performance issue in Witcher 3 was the foliage, but thankfully not much of it in the dystopian world of Cyberpunk 2077. Also GPUs love to render flat surfaces and enclosed spaces. Proper usage of DirectX12 also can give a good boost. I'm sure that they spent much effort into optimization. They had to, because it is a PS4 game after all.

I think most people will want to play it with ray tracing capable GPU anyway. I'm not into such gimmickry, but here a case could be made that lighting is important part of the cyberpunk aesthetics.

ivanx: It is a damn PS4 game.
Lol, I noticed people talking about how much PC horsepower was going to be needed for C2077 in another forum over the last year or two, and thought the same thing. There really are a lot of people though that don't understand that the Great Consolization of 2008 occurred. They think that there is still such a thing as a AAA PC game.

In reality though, if any company is likely to actually spend effort properly coding a PC version or port, and then optimizing it (one can't even begin optimizing a game until it's properly coded--which hardly any AAA ports are), it's CDPR.

ivanx: And the graphics are nothing spectacular, just some fancy lights.
That can't be true, can it? I have diligently avoided all still and moving imagery of the game since ~2018, but people are constantly remarking on GTAForums about how amazing the game looks. Even people who are on the fence about the game, or really don't like cyberpunk seem to say that the game looks impressive.

Judging from the imagery alone, what games would you say are more graphically impressive?

Dryspace: Judging from the imagery alone, what games would you say are more graphically impressive?
I don't have any other game in mind and if there is one, I wouldn't know, because I'm rarely interested in AAA titles. I meant that it looks like a older generation game and it shows in the models, textures and animations. I think the hype blinded some people. I still hope that PC master race can get some "enhanced edition".
