Hmmm, when I install those mods (I'm talking about those 13-14 MANDATORY mods) it gives me an error.

Do you know if any other mod had an update besides the Cyber Engine mod?

PS: I will try to install one by one to eventually see what the problem is.

After many tries, my conclusions are: the only one that make my game crash (actually literally not start at all) it is RED4ext, so one of the most basic mods that make others running.. most unfortunate. Cyber Engine looks like it works fine with no error at all.

This is kinda to be expected from games that update regularly that you mod. Give it a few days for mod authors to update their mods, and if its an issue with the game itself, give CDPR a few days to fix it, its really not that deep...

It's not the mods ppl are "overreacting" to. Game's is not working with or without them. I love the game and I'll play it as soon as they'll fix it, but I can also empathize with people getting angry at yet another cdpr's fuckup, after the whole game was supposedly fixed.

General Protection Faults

Attempting to add ESRGAN and DX11 drivers.

Same here ... my gamesaves are completely broken! 50 hours gameplay with the new DLC impossible loading! My patience has run out! I've seen the game as a diamond in the rough for long enough! Don't even get me started on the fact that I can't freely change the keyboard layout... hardcoded keys in a PC GAME! And that since the release! This is just embarrassing and ridiculous! So in the future I have to expect that the patches will destroy my saves! There is no point in continuing to play! Where do you test the patches? This is just annoying now!

Are you using mods?
Not that I'm aware of. Bit all my mods including archive xl and red 4text, amm are working fine.

Mods are not the problem! I'm going back to 2.0 PhL but the savegames with 2.0 are broken now. The DLC is not active! This is the problem! Then I start a game not option for PhL beginning ... after backwards to 2.0 the same problem! Fantastic! The savegames are with PhL! Now the DLC was not detect ==> the savegames keep broken!
And it keeps a mess!

I've been trying to fix the exact same issue all day. From what I've gathered there are a few different ways to solve this problem, though success varies per person. The error is indeed caused by the mods, but not just having them installed. The error we're getting occurs when the game thinks that some assets for a script mod or two are already running/never stopped running the last time the game closed. Some people have said restarting their machine helped reset those files, but for me I had to completely reinstall a few mods after downpatching to 2.0 by clicking on the "more" button next to the install/play, then to manage installation and configure. Since I knew it was coming from a script I reinstalled all mods in my C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Cyberpunk 2077\r6\scripts folder as well as the C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Cyberpunk 2077\red4ext\plugins manually (as well as RED4ext itself).

Unfortunately I made the mistake of trying to update to 2.01 again after I fixed my mods and now I'm getting the E4 disk error when installing, meaning its just an endless loop of trying to install and failing. No way to downpatch from there, had to completely uninstall and reinstall again.

Program Files? You install GOG Galaxy and games to Program Files?

no exclusions work for this folder even for buildin Windows security services. 3rd party antiviruss can be even more paranoid to this folder.

Mine also. I had to roll back to 2.0. Unmodded or modded, 2.1 completely ended my saves.

Well ever since 2.0, I haven't even been able to reach the title screen or menu, with either 2.0 or 2.1.

Not using mods, updated drivers, tried many ways of cleaning out old drivers and re-installing - so far nothing works.

I don't have Phantom Liberty (and likely won't ever bother getting it), in case that matters...

strickt security issue of your system. reinstall game (and Galaxy!) to D/Games/Cyberpunk-2077/ and use admin run mode for first launch (for Galaxy too).
