i feel you, but that can be attributed to their own excitement about wanting to talk about a thing(s) but can't because it's not done/debugged

like, they're the ones who are hoping more than anyone that this thing is successful. they are people. they get it. they also want it to be done. but they can't reveal everything yet, they can't release it yet. so everything they do reveal/release is gonna sound drenched in those nerves. yeah?

mad_crease: At every point of them talking about the game, there seems to be something they just aren't speaking about. Like something is trying to be swept under the carpet and hoped it's not noticed. I don't know what that is, but that's the feeling I get every time. It seems, at times, they don't even believe their own hype about the game and other times, you can see vividly what's being discussed or living whats being shown.

In terms of game revenue, you know they'd release what they have to bring back in line the faltering fan base if they had something. This project needs to move forward and no one knows this better then their home office. Bills, contracts, cost on overruns and development can be staggering. None of it is an asset until revenue is generated. Revenue won't come until certain things fall into place. They need revenue and they need to keep and build fan loyalties.

A definitive release date.
Game hype and live game trailers (current)
Game hardware specs.
An Asset in game value
Loyal and satisfied game consumers
I would love to get some hardware specs.

Jimbo_G: I wasn't disappointed because I knew we weren't getting any new gameplay.

xgribbelfix: But you got new gameplay. There are 25 Minutes of new gameplay provided by CDPR to the people who played the game. They were allowed to release it on their platform.

Here it is, if you want. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtoIjNDQ2kU
Thanks for the link! I didn't know this was out there.

thepayne78: I would love to get some hardware specs.
For the recommended I'd put my bet on something like:

i5-8600K/ AMD eq
16GB RAM
GTX 1070/ AMD eq
an SSHD (hybrid drive)
650W power supply

something like this might be in the lower/middle of the recommended specs. i'd be shocked if they recommend an RTX gpu. not everyone is gonna have one even at this point.
I'm happy that the PS5 will also be getting a free update if you have the PS4 version, but I hope that at some point in Night City Wire they address how long it will take for that patch (since they said it "at some point" or something along these lines) and if there will be a PS5 physical version of the game or only the PS4 physical version.
I think its now very unlikely that they delay again.
A couple of reasons:

a) We now entered the face where they heavily market that game with City Night Wire. If they would have a huge gap in between these hype episodes and the full game, the marketing money that went into those would be for waste.

b) You only can delay a product so much until the overall puplic looses intrest. Yes, delaying is always better if the game is not in a finished state, but there are limits to the patience for the general audience.

c) The November date is the date that generates the most profit in the entire year. If you then do not even have big competition (which you normally have for this reason), you are gold.

d) The game as of now is finished and needs bug fixing and polishing. Although this is a massive project, concentrating on that alone is doable in half a year.

Never say never, but its very very unlikely that they delay again.
