it's not gpu, it's some incompatibility

can confirm - this solution works!
I finally launch cyperpunk 1.5
That is incredibly odd but I'm glad you found a fix!
Planning to update as soon as all the downloads are finished (also, why is the patch not listed under Updated Games? Can only be downloaded standalone from the games list), but anyone knows whether the 1.5 patch will break CyberEngineTweaks (and any attached mods)?

I am considering to just copy the whole install directory to have a backup.
Got too addicted to spawning a Quartz Sidewinder at will and play Need For Speed: Desert Drift. <3

And I couldn't see it specified anywhere, but do all - ALL - perks actually work now? Even after reoading a save? And can we safely get out of water without getting stuck 70 % of the time?

Holy shit that actually worked! Disabled the service in the background and boom, straight into the game. So far so good.
the term "next gen" is so laughable for pc users xD i know what they mean yet i still laugh because well... pc is always next gen, every year :D But i know they had to give it a name so yea. Still just another patch for pc :D

derwendelin: The patch notes look very interesting.Bravo!!!

I just hope I don`t have to rebind all keys again ;-)

All the best

Totally agree, Some major changes, if you think about it. Plus a lot more that CDPR wan'ts to surprise us with! Firs new quest was for a Cyberpychso, but there is a puzzle. It says hostile area, so I think he's looking to see if I can solve the puzzle. This means right off the bat, I am interested in this 1.5!
I had downloaded all the files and began patching, and the installers suddenly asked me for a "part 2"...!?
And now I see the patch installers have had their names changed.

Suddenly really glad I made a backup of the entire install directory before starting this, because now I fear the game became broken due to a failed patch. I guess I'll find out as I download all the new files again to make sure.

It's certainly broken now, with a forcibly aborted patch...

They never specifically called the PC "Next Gen", if you look carefully. But I guess it's another instance where CDPR assumes it customers are grown up! Not like other publishers who treat their customers like kids!
So I was really exited to play the game after the new patch. Unfortunately after I installed the new patch, the game out right refused to launch. I have verified the files and reinstalled the game. Are any of you experiencing something similar, or do any of you know how to fix it?

Same for me. Right after I start up a game, it instantly closes and suggests to send the report. Doesn't work neighter through GOG nor via direct .exe in bins folder.

stacktrace.txt says

Error reason: Unhandled exception
Expression: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)
Message: The thread attempted to write to an inaccessible address at 0x48.
File: <Unknown>(0)
I got it working by:

1.) Closing GOG
2.) Ending all 5 Nahimic-related processes in task manager
3.) Launching CP2077 from the file manager

Good luck...
What have you done, CDPR!?

Perks are reset - which I have already done 3 times to fix the existing mess with broken perks - I now have to spend a LOT of components to level up Skippy (auto scaling is now removed...?), Redscript is ruined, CyberEngineTweaks is ruined, Legendary Tech weapons are now tied into the Edgerunner Artisan perk.

I'll switch back to my backup, thank you very much, and give myself a few Million Eddies and components before patching again.

Think I'll give myself an additional 50 perk points while I'm at it too. 120 hours into the 4th playthrough, and the first time I didn't give in into giving myself resources - and now the official patch made me have to, to upgrade an existing, now broken item. I might as well start all over again at this point - which, if I do, won't happen for quite some time...

Surprises are good, but please give us the bad news - like broken major mods - in the patch notes as well. Hear you ghosted the devs for CyberEngineTweaks too.

Loading is now slower, map actually feels more messy (and slower to navigate), and this is only after 5 minutes with the 1.5 patch (before I reverted to 1.31).
I only had about 1500 Rare upgrade components for Skippy, which isn't nearly enough, so you think 300.000 would cover it?

It worked!

Now, do please tell me why it worked to close the Nahimic processes

And by the way thanks a lot!!

PaladinNO: Perks are reset
During the stream they said they have reworked the perks so much that the old allocated perks are no longer applicable. Some perks have been removed, some have been added, others have been changed so while slightly inconvenient, the fairest way was to reset all, return the perk points and you can allocate them yourself again. I briefly checked the skill lines yesterday and saw that the skill progression is not lost so if your, say, int was 10 and int level was 7, your int is still 10 and level is still 7 with the current xp still intact. Only the points are back and no perks are active.

For me it's a minor inconvenience. Haven't gone through all the perks yet so I don't know if this is just a minor inconvenience or if it's a minor inconvenience with a positive net outcome.

I haven't tried this since every time any game has a bigger update I disable my mods and keep an eye when the mod devs update their mods or announce that the old version still works. Not game specific, I do this for all games since it's pretty much universal that any update on any game breaks many mods.

Stream? What stream? :O
Found it quickly on Youtube ("Sign in to confirm your age" - thanks, Google, for being useless, and no, you don't need a picture of my driver's license...), but I didn't know about that one. Am watching it now (from a different site).

The perk point reset was mostly just an annoyance for me personally, as I had recently screwed up some perks (guess what, turned out they didn't work...), and reset all of them to respec.

On the last skill tree I then managed to spec something I didn't need, and dediced to do it all over again. Then again, to test out something (like the need for more quickhack components and the ability to craft legendary Quickhacks when I already had all the legendary ones). And resetting everything one last time to get it just the way I wanted.

It took quite a bit of time, and this was last weekend. And now everything was reset again.

It's all done now, but I added 20 extra perk points with CyberCat just as a present to myself before doing it. And gave myself 100x the number of crafting components, because Skippy (he does Chemical damage now...?) is no longer auto-scaling and had to be upgraded 50 times (didn't bother with the exact count), which cost a litteral fortune in components.

Another negative surprise was the change in clothing mods, and mods in general. Number of clothing mods are reduced, stats are WAY down (RIP my 100 % Crit Chance and 260 % Crit Damage), and mods are suddenly cloth specific. No more +Crit Chance on the shoes.

And I thought for several minutes all bikes were broken, because the box to get on them is so small now. The addition of having the stash on them is nice, I guess, but it's at the expense of the get-on box. And seriously, it's a bike, it cannot carry 200 stashed weapons. Leave the stash to the cars.

All the bikes also look...fuzzy now, though that could be due to the bike skins I had installed. Still haven't removed any mods. And I hope I won't regret not adding all the unique weapons to my inventory with CyberEngine while I had the chance to get the best version - if all weapons, at least uniques, are no longer RNG (infinite reloads to roll the best one anyone?), it's all good.
