Wondering about which patches need to be applied from the offline installer download page since it appears to be 1.62 that's installed with the downloads. I see patches for 1.61 in the downloads.

As an aside question since the files offered on the download page are 1.62 and IF I wanted to use a mod that requires 1.61
How would I get back to 1.61. I understand people have to torrent to get back from my reading but would I need original files or can I patch back to 1.61(with whatever torrent you guys are using)

I don't know what GoG Galaxy can do, but if you download and install the current 1.62 version of the game, and if you want to downpatch to 1.61, my guess you have to download a .torrent with the 1.61 game files and reinstall the game.

Though I cannot say with certainty this will allow you to use your existing save files. I have tried using older saves on a newer patch, and that works fine, but I haven't tried the other way around.

1) If you're talking about the downloads on your account page through a web browser, then the "main" packages are always the latest available version while the "patch" packages are for updating an existing older install up to the specified version.

2) The only way to get back to an older version is to have already downloaded and kept the main installers for said older version while they were still available.

And given the messy list of patches for this game, on their own platform (CDPR owns GoG), that is 300 GB well spent as far as I'm concerned.

With gaps in the available, and very much required, patches on multiple occasions (numerous posts on that), people who are too slow to update the game, or to download the updates for local storage, may not be able to update the game at all.

Other than to get a potentially dubious .torrent for either the patches or the whole game.
Thanks for the advice.
