Thought I'd give Cyberpunk another chance after all the updates. Re-downloaded it, started playing it, everything was fine. Now the game won't load. Error report after error report. Haven't changed anything. Did nothing different. Once again, another failure. Good job.

I did also things like you ...
I am not able to do anything else.

I was fool to update Patch 1.61 (after that) the button Play is grey) and game itself is impossible to run).

Sorry it happened to you as well. I was starting to enjoy it again.
When I was getting a greyed out Play button, it was because it tried and failed to update do to lack off available drive space (because for some reason it wanted me to have 54 GBs of free space for a 1 GB update) .

Click on the "down" arrow to see if there's anything stopping the update. If it's the drive space issue, and you free the space to get it to start, and you don't want the latest update (released 2 weeks ago, apparently it breaks mods) you can stop the download, then go the game's settings (button next to "down" arrow), go to Manage Installation -> Configure... -> and uncheck "Auto-updates" .

You are the weakest link, goodbye.
1.61 without the DLSS patch works fine for me but I don't use any mods.

That's because the game unpacks all the game files and then has to repack them again. Hence the needed space.

I truly, viscerally hate it when games do that, no matter which game client. Have some games on Steam that do that but Cyberpunk is in another world when it comes to that because it also takes a f*cking long time. It takes four minutes to download the patch and then ten minutes for the patch application to reach even 0.2%

I think it would be more complicated. I am solving this problem with the support but not convinced about the fix.
For while it is about cleaning, reinstalling and deleting some folders. But in my case it doesn´t helped.

We will see.
Hey gyus. I will advice you something.

If you are for e.g. using GOG or another app like Steam

Go to Settings -> Installing, updating -> than reconsider the space where you installing game

Ofter small SSD could be the problem. So try to move somewhere else. In my case faster SSD twice capacity or a different disc.

Choose diferent temporary upgrade folder too.

If you are having problems with downloading or stuck in 54% or 92% or even different % it could help a lot.
Even if you are downloading for e.g. 30 MB file.

After that - go to real destination of Cyberpunk for e.g. J:\CYB3R\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\ and click on the

Cyberpunk2077.exe

You will see If game will run or not. :)

I had an issue similar to this and I needed to apply administrative permission to the executable, perhaps thats your issue.
