Exactly, I'm not mad :)

Just fed up with the gaming industry in general : working in industrial IT and things are more straightforward and easy to understand... IT Project are not delayed until extreme condition, and often due to user(s) constraints, and certainly never 2 times, at least in my company. Time is money :)

Gaming industry for me is like a giant box of crabs : don't want to put a finger in it.

;)

JPR out!

retrorealms: No offense taken, but no one actually forces you to read any of it. Feel free to skip it... In my comment, I gave my perfectly valid opinion on Cyberpunk 2077. Even mentioned considering buying it as a show of support for GOG. I don't at all like what I've seen so far of Cyberpunk 2077 but I nevertheless do follow the game development and popped in here to see why it was delayed once again, found this thread and commented on it. There, hope I've satisfied your curiosity!

Arachnarok_Rider: I'm not forced to do much of anything, you're quite right, but I happen to be rather happy about pretty much everything we've heard about CP77 so far (save for the release date, obviously). And this is a CP77 board, so when people post here, I read through it, because it just might be something I didn't know.

I think you supporting GOG would be nice, but frankly I think you should do so by buying games that you actually like and feel like you might enjoy playing. I personally am a bit of a GOG fanboy but the concept has to be sustainable. And the only way to know that it is sustainable is if it works on market terms, meaning if they can keep it running while selling games that people want to play.
Just to be clear, I do not usually buy games that I don't think I would enjoy playing myself unless I consider them to be important as a collectible on their own merit in some way (e.g. historical/nostalgic value, genre-defining, or simply original in some way). Cyberpunk 2077 is clearly an important game and a game that could be worth having in one's library, especially if you're a fan of the cyberpunk genre, regardless of what you think of it gameplay-wise. Supporting GOG was the potential clincher that could have sealed the deal for me but seeing how this game is being politicized, that has now rather turned into yet another reason for me not to buy it.

Dude, I'm just as excited for 2077 as you are, but are you really blaming this delay on a game that came out three months before 2077 was supposed to release?

It's okay to not like The Last of Us: Part Two, opinions are opinions, but when you hate a game so much that you blame another game being delayed because of it...

Just... why?

As for your other accusations, just, no. Are you joking? I'm laughing at you, I want to know. Is this a joke? Did you intend for this to be a joke? My stomach hurts from laughing. Are you kidding?

Accept that 2077 has been delayed. You can be annoyed by it, grumpy, frustrated, whatever. Plenty of people are. But be rational. This is just laughable.

I'm sorry that you cannot comprehend people lying to you. This business is bigger than Hollywood with just as many excuses. They expect us to maintain a level of hype without showing anything and practically having to be screamed at to show us anything? Look at the way ND handled it. They werent going to release it because of "distribution problems due to COVID-19" And suddenly the game gets leaked and they issue a release date for the following month? What about the distribution problems? Use your head please.

They are not confident in their product. There is no other reason they would delay it twice. Read the entire post before hitting the reply key son.

Accepting something and agreeing with it are teo different things. I have accepted that its delayed just as I have accepted that the sun will rise tomorrow. That doesnt mean I have to like it. I am an adult and a paying customer so im well within my rights to complain. Accept that!

If you have a homework project and you have three weeks to complete it and on the last day you ask for an extra week what does that tell the teacher? It tells them you cannot manage your time accordingly. This is why we have crunch it sets a deadline and makes sure people stick to it SO THAT DELAYS DO NOT HAPPEN AS OFTEN.

Jimbo_G: First of all you delay the game from April to September citing "Polish" as the reason. First of all we all know why you REALLY delayed it. TLOU2. Then there was the whole "we leave greed to others" nonsense shortly before you announced multiplayer would include micro transactions. Then you delay Nighty City wire because of "those people" NOW you delay it again for "polish it more",

I mean most developers usually delay the game once and even thats pushing it. What exactly do you think you can achieve in two months that you didnt accomplish in 6? Are you trying to make the perfect game? Heads up...ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Youre still going to have to release a day one patch thats just the way games are. Youre still going to have to release fixes and updates so why not just release the game and work on it after.

All I'm saying is this better be Spiderman and Horizon Zero Dawn levels of awesome or you're going to fucking join EA and the other shitheads on the boycott list.
You declared 2 different "First of all" statements.
Does the second one supersede the first or is it an addendum?
The latter one could easily be renamed to "Secondly" , "Also" or "In addition"

You clearly have trouble with English if you are having trouble with my last post, but then again, I suspect you are one of those people who think addicting is a real word. (P.S...its not)

Do you have ANY proof at all of any of the claims you're making? Even one shred? No? Didn't think so.

All you did was try to link things that (in all likelihood) have no connection to each other in a bold-face attempt to justify your incompetent nerd rage. Like a crazed conspiracy theorist you've concocted some sinister behind-the-scenes reason why they delayed the game and then, instead of searching for a way to prove AND disprove your hypothesis you jumped straight to the conclusion because you believe that you are somehow more intelligent or more clever or more perceptive than everyone else. Spoiler alert: You're not. Not even close.

The next time you want to go spout a bunch of crap, do yourself a favor and make sure you're not full of it yourself.

P.S.: Speaking of which.... check the attachment.

The only problem with your last post was you actually posted it. It's almost as though you think this company actually owes you something.

First of all they don't. First of all you post angrily declaring whatever it is you are trying to say without any knowledge of what the problem actually is. First of all your statement about addicting is completely off topic. First of all addicting is really and truly a word. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/addicting
