You can cancel pre-orders at any time before the game's release, and get the money back. The 30 days should start on release. BUT, it's not like the refund system on Steam, where you can get your money back no mater what when you are under two hours playtime.
On GOG you only get your money back, when you have problems running the game and their team can't get it to work either.
4. HOW DOES IT WORK? If, within 30 days after the purchase of your game, you experience technical problems or game-breaking bugs that prevent you from finishing your game, contact our customer support. They will do their best to help you fix the problem and if, at the end of their attempts to solve the problem your game is still not working, we'll give you back your money. skadog: Yeah thanks, I got all of that when I read it before posting.
I just want to be sure that the 30 days started the day the game drops, rather than after my money drops. Because it specifically states.. "within 30 days after the purchase of your game" and does not amend this statement to specify per-ordered purchases.
If the 30 days started after you preorder, 10 months before the game releases without ever having the chance to test if it runs, point number 11 would be unnecessary.
With preorders the 30 days will start when the game drops.
If you are still unsure, ask the support.
