Hello all,

Not a fan of the new "unstealthy" netrunner gameplay imposed in 2.0. I like the old stealthy version better than this new way.

Is there a mod that can bring that whole tracking thing back to the pre-2.0 gamepplay style?

Or...

I believe there used to be a cybernetic implant that blocked tracking? Is that still in game?

the implant blocked enemy netrunners hacking you.
that is still in the game as a piece of the new cyberware.

However it has NO effect on the trace crap.
Best you can do in the vanilla game now is to slow down the trace, or use a hack which has the side effect of reducing the trace. ( I forget it's name)
or just straight up run away from the area until the trace fails.

.
Now, you must load "Memory Wipe" before any traceable quickhacks to remain untraceable which kind of leads you into the new hack que setup.

There are several other ways to make it take a very long time for someone to trace you the idea being you should be able to complete the current combat or leave the area with plenty of time to spare.

I too was annoyed at first but you learn to master it with enough practice. Later in the game you can end up with a ton of memory plus memory reduction synergies and will be able to que up several hacks on several targets at one time.

There is an implant that negates any quickhack used against you, "Black Ice", but it does not stop tracing.
