According to the patch notes for the upcoming 1.3 patch (which is pretty huge), we'll be receiving the first three free DLCs: an alternate appearance for Johnny, new jackets and a new car.

This makes me happy, personally. I was starting to get a little annoyed by the radio silence. With free DLCs starting now, I could definitely see them releasing the first expansion around the 1-year anniversary of the game alongside the next gen upgrade.

Looking forward to the expansions!

P.S. Still no mention of a fix for Small Man, Big Evil. :(

2 ugly af jackets? is that really the best they could do with clothing? The alt appearance and the car is nice, but these are superficial stuff, i expected a whole lot more, some actual progress in the games major systems. I love CP2077, but there is so much wasted potential that its actually mindblowing how simple this game is .The pace at what they are going is really slow and feels like they put the project on the back burner.

Same here! I love the game and I just want more haha It's free DLC that they came up with in the midst of what has been a really tough patching process, according to the recent stream where they go into detail of why the fixes weren't pumped out as quickly as we hoped. I don't mind. This is just wave one, there are plenty more free DLCs to come and like I said, I definitely think the first expansion will launch with the next gen upgrade as a 1-year anniversary event, or "soft relaunch" as some rumors suggest.

This is great news. When you think marketing, when the game was still a mess it would be bad publicity to release DLCs. People would be up in arms shouting "why you release DLCs when there's still bugs?!" The release of first DLCs is a sign they are confident most game breaking bugs are now solved and they can start releasing new content.I knew it! I knew this would be your response to anything they release, regardless of what they release.Why?

If I remember correctly, the first free DLCs for The Witcher 3 were some beard and hairstyles, and a new outfit for Yennefer. What exactly were you expecting and what did you base those expectations on?

Some people are just never happy nor satisfied. Makes you really wonder why they don't fix the game themselves, or ask to work for the developer and be the employee of the month for 20 years in a row...

Why does the update require 385658 MB disk space? Game size multiplies on disk with this patch? What's going on?

of course im gonna react this way, its been 8 months and they are still at the bugfixing phase. I dont know how it went with the Witcher3 because i bought that after everything was done so i have no idea how the launch was for that, but even if with CP2077 is the same as with the Witcher3, CP2077 is a whole different situation, at least feels like it is because the launch of this game was a disaster compared to W3, and also i assume the release of the same free dlc didnt take as long as for CP2077.
The thing i am disappointed about is the fact that after all this time there doesnt seem to be any noticeable improvements in game design or mechanics, even though thats not necessarily true, and it feels like all the stuff the people have been asking for, like character and car customization, will be relegated to paid dlc, when this stuff should have been in the game to begin with. Will it be this way? I really hope not, and i really hope that after a year i can look back and eat my words and say that i was wrong.

I can't find any of the DLCs / missions/ stories/ new spinoffs/ other areas / etc

Just mostly cosmetic stuff/bug fixes. But no DLC

They're not expansions: free DLCs are just cosmetics, minor extra content, and some minor side quest or gig.
So far they've only released three: a new skin for Johnny, two jackets and a car.
Expansions will come later this year, or possibly next year. No idea. But they didn't release any expansion today.


And a huge load of bug fixes/quality of life improvements.

Same here, can't run any savegame, it crashes everytime. To start a new Session is no Problem, runs fine.

I only had a few minutes to check out the patch. I noticed the billboards and ads seem to be low resolution, however, my V has hair wearing her headband. Heh, that was nice. I'll be checking things more thoroughly later.
