Hello,

I've been having long standing issues with my mouse and keyboard inputs on Cyberpunk 2077. Frequently (every few minutes) my mouse and keyboard stop responding to the game, and usually, if I have a key pressed (say, W), I keep moving in that direction. After several seconds, they start working again.

I've tried moving my mouse and keyboard USB plugs to different ports, but to no avail. The problem doesn't seem to affect my Xbox controller attached to my PC. I am at my wits end as this is the only piece of software affected by the issue. Other games don't have this problem.

I've unplugged all other controllers attached to my PC and the problem doesn't go away. Following the guides on the FAQ doesn't seem to do anything either. Conducting a repair of the game's files didn't fix it, and neither did a reinstall.

Suggestions?
An update: The issue still persists after I've installed the latest update. Mouse and keyboard randomly stop responding, and a few seconds later, resume responding. I've got no other controllers plugged into the PC, so I have absolutely no idea why this happens.

This renders the game practically unplayable, and has been an issue on my PC for a long time. No other game or software has this issue, so it has something to do with how Cyberpunk interfaces with my PC.

I have the same problem too! I think the problem came with the 1.04 patch. BTW, what keyboard and mouse are you using? I'm using Logitech anywhere 2s and MX keys through the same 2.4Ghz receiver.

Same here. My issue started right after the 1.6 update, doesn't happen on any other programs. Ill hear a little windows chime, the lights on my keyboard and mouse turn off, then the reconnect a few seconds later. Also, my motherboard disconnects from my CAM software and doesn't reconnect without a full system restart.
Really hoping this is fixed soon, even if its by a mod.
I have issues with my Logitech pro wireless mouse doing similar things.

Its like it disconnects for a second or two the comes back with its dpi reset.

Just rolled back the update and it doesn't happen. So at least for me it's 1.6 bugging out.

Experiencing the same right now but it comes in waves, at one point everything was running fine. Then was about to enter combat, it disconnected my ASUS keyboard the RGB went black then connected and then it kept ignoring movement and or thinking I was still moving. In driving this is TERRIBLE as it will suddenly think I am still turning left and smash me into all sorts of things.

Never experienced this before everywhere else keyboard and mouse is working fine, it might have something to do with the third party software for keyboards and mouses. But didn't they add in xbox keyboard and mouse support? My guess is most likely that's where this new issue is coming from.
I have the exact same issue and I'm using the Razer Deathadder v2. The only thing that *sort of*, but not entirely, fixes the problem is if I exit the Razer Synapse app. In that case, the keyboard and mouse do not disconnect but the mouse still becomes unresponsive for a second or two. It's not that the game freezes or stutters. The mouse simply does not work.

I've sent a ticket regarding this issue... Let's see how it goes :/

I might have found a fix for you, but by no means should this be accepted CDPR needs to fix this. So doing some digging around I found reference to this same issue and people solved it by changing the USB port their keyboard was plugged into. I think mine was on a USB 3 or USB 2 but after replugging it I played for several hours without the issue ever happening
I can confirm. Having the same issue since 1.6.
Not fun and pulling you out of business frequently.
Would be good to see this addressed soon*ish :D

it has something to do with directinput... i am to lazy to google for you but changing from soft to hardware input methods or something like this should help ya....
I have exactly the same issue.
Didn't play since 1.2 and wanted to give 1.6 a try.
But like the others, every now and then, keyboard+mice (rocccat) get dark for half a second. And it's completely random. Sometimes it works for 5 minutes straight, then it's doing that every few seconds. I first thought maybe my cables are messed up but all HW was fine.
How the hell can a game even accomplish this?
If it's really related to directinput, I'd appreciate if some1 could post a solution. I tried searching for solutions but the search results didn't bring up anything about that (besides the moronic steam controller who seems to have issues with directinput games)

Same Problem here. Keyboard and Mouse not responding every once in a while - about 4 times an hour. I'm using Roccat Kone Aimo Remastered and Korsair K70 RGB Pro. Nvidia DLSS (Balanced) and Nvidia Reflex (Ultra) are activated.
Greetings, I think I have the same issue as well... I have a weird bug that I didn't find a solution to. To start with the specs: I have Windows 10, RTX 3070, and Ryzen 7 3800x, game is on NVME SSD if that's relevant. Everything is up to date software-wise. The game is on GoG.

Issue: My mouse input keeps dying randomly for 1-2 seconds, then it comes back (only in some areas, the one that had the most occurrences was outside V's apartment right after the first mission).

What I have already tried:
Ran the game's integrity check;
Disabled every overlay or on-screen display like RTSS, Nvidia Overlay, etc.
Turn every graphics setting to the lowest.
Test other games (the mouse issue didn't happen there).
I also use OBS while I play, but I tested without it, and the issue still appears.

All I found is related to "mouse input lag", but not the mouse losing input as it is in my case. (sorry for the wall of text, I hope anyone can help, I love the game and I really want to play it but this makes it unplayable in many areas).
Not having this issue myself, I'm just throwing out some suggestions.
Windows 10 Pro
Steelseries Sensei 310 (Windows default drivers)
Ducky One 2
Connected through a Startech HB30A7AME USB 3 hub
Running the game locally. Don't even have GoG Galaxy installed.

- Does your mice and keyboard have any manufacturer drivers? Are these installed?

- Are either of your peripherals wireless? Have you tried using a wired alternative?

- Are you using a USB-hub? Have you tried connecting it directly to the motherboard?

- Are the peripherals connected on a USB 3 port? Have you tried using a USB 2 port?

- Are you playing through GoG Galaxy? Have you tried running the game locally?

- What is your anti-virus? Have you tried disabling it?
I once spent 3 months nailing a progressively worse sound stutter issue caused by Avast AV (DPC latency issue).
Disabling all internet connections stopped the sound stutter. ...So did uninstalling Avast.

Tracking down intermittent issues like these are the worst. I know from personal experience.

This seems to be an issue on AM4 chipset related to performance - USB ports disconnect under heavy load according to a reddit user. It's matching how my CPU was at 100% usage when I noticed keyboard freeze (I could also see the lights on the keyboard flickering after freeze ends).

For B450 there is an AMD chipset driver released on 21/11 which apparently helps with that:
