I am very annoyed by the obvious graphical downgrades in 1.05 and would reallllly like to use 1.04 again. On Steam people are talking about reverting to 1.04, is there ANY way to do that on Galaxy? Is there a mod that can do it?

I downloaded the offline installer last night as soon as I noticed the visual downgrade but unfortunately it was already 1.05, apparently.

I haven't played much with 1.05 yet but is it that bad?

The only way I know is if you downloaded the offline files before it got updated. They are 105 now..

EDIT: To next time, take backup. The game is practically portable so you could have different version on you computer, but not sure how that would work with the save files., though...

EDIT2: Tried to load a 105 save file on a 103 install. As I thought - fail. Let's see if I can update that one to 104...

The offline Installers are all still there.
The 1.03 base (100G)
The 1.03 ->1.04 patch (600M)
and the 1.04 ->1.05 patch (9G).

It's going to be uninstall 1.05 and then install 1.03 and apply the 1.04 patch.
Didn't pay attention so far, what was downgraded exactly? I need to compare stuff and then I'll decide if it is worth reverting to 1.04.

No, they've been updated to 105. GOG always does that. At least here.

just figured it out with the help of another poster go to manage installation and configure, then uncheck automatically update and you can pick any patch level you want.

Hi, if you are unhappy with some points of the new version get in touch with CDPR. I need to test the new version of the game

Oh cool, thanks! Never thought new options would pop up if you uncheck that box. Downgrading now, let's see what happens.

Sanscript, it's mostly the loss of the cinematic effects that bugs me. They toned down the grain and stuff like that a LOT, and I was really diffing the Blade Runner look of it. I also think I notice more pop-in as well, but that could be a placebo. I'm about to find out.
I don't notice a downgrade. Whats been downgraded? It still looks the same to me.

Neither did I. Mine seems more stable at the moment with better FPS. I haven't noticed any changes either (as in gameplay changes or censorship or anything like that). BUT!!!! I have only tested it for a few minutes, so perhaps I missed something.

Like I said, it's mainly the film effects. If you had those off, you wouldn't notice.

Though after spending time with both versions tonight, I do think pop-in is worse (seems like texture streaming optimizations) and there was less wet effect on streets and buildings.

LOD on cars in the distance is kind of unpleasant now. Cars will very clearly have one level of illumination and very basic textures and then pop their more detailed look when you get closer, which is a bit hard to look at.
