So basically I fired up all three backgrounds and it appears there is a fatal crash in all three.

Corpo: The second you sit in the chair is a crash to desktop.

Streetkid: Right as you exit the bar.

Nomad: Right as you finish the little cinematic in NC and begin to transition back to play. I caught a glimpse of being behind the wheel again here and then crash to desktop.

The only thing I really haven't tried so far is a complete reinstall, which Im going to attempt now.

Anyone else have input?

I have exactly the same problem whit the three brackgrounds, crash at the same points...

I think is a bug in GoG version...

Agreed. It seems way too consistent to be anything else.
I just tryed all ways to fix it.

Now i'm dowloading the offline version of the game to try play it.
I'm 99% certain this is due to your CPU not supporting AVX instructions (based on similar reports on Reddit). Any CPU before 2011ish will not support them, and some lower end newer CPUs as well. Sadly, I'm fairly certain the only solution is to wait for a patch.

If they pay attention to the customers it might get patched by tomorrow

It is likely due to avx.
(Sorry my 'english')

I only tried nomad, after the intro of Night City, frozen image appears inside car and jumps to desktop.
I have disabled all programs with no result, i have tried minimal graphics settings with no result, i have tried changing audio from 7.1 to Stereo with no result, and you have used Display Driver Uninstaller and reinstalled graphics drivers with no result.
Please Help ...

This post you'd linked was deleted.

For people with this problem, what processor do you have? Sounds like it might be below the minimum specs?
i7 970 3.2ghz

the minimum specs list an i5, but I have no idea how the generation number effects anything. CPU grade is more opaque than the random numbers and letters graphics cards have.

Edit:
just double checked the benchmarks, i7 970 is ranked 666 (yay, i've got satan's cpu), the one listed in minimum specs is ranked 889. this was on the cpubenchmark.net site. So that seems to say i beat the minimum requirements, but if its some tech thing that requires a later generation, I may just be SoL.

I am not sure this is true. For me it also crashes, always in the same spot, but my CPU has support for AVX2.

I had this exact same thing happen to me, and my pc is fairly good, not great, but good and has supported any other game so far
Same here, i7-980 crashes. The CPU is old, but the game run really smooth...until the crashing point.
