I'm not going for the refund either but that's mostly because I can actually go without the money but that doesn't count for all users who bought the game. The game is a big disappointment in general when it comes to the darker elements of the cyberpunk genre. I expected far more immersion but it just ended up being a bit 2 wholesome world for my taste.

Could have been such a great atmospheric game but guess focusing on the console releases instead of just going full next-gen wasted a lot of time that could have been used to just making one version "PC" actually run good.

[spoiler]There is a place you go fairly early on where sex workers are given chips that remove control from the person's body and mind so that paying customers can act out any fantasy the like with out any questions asked or the person they perform the acts on, remembering. I mean if that isn't a dark Cyberpunk dystopia than I don't know what is. Seems you probably don't know what you are complaining about and need to play the game.[/spoiler]

On topic, I'm not sure what you are complaining about, the game runs fine on PC. Actually geting 90+ fps. It's the buggy ai, poorly explained/implemented game mechanics that are really taking me out of it right now. Like the crafting system, I've tried dabbling with it and leveling it up, but I find new loot so often that I question what the point is. Like why keep an early Iconic weapon? What is the benefit. Also the way new fixers are introduced, they just call you out of the blue. Feels so impersonal. You got this giant city, let me meet them organically. It's small things like that that really take me out of it when trying to immerse myself. It just throws so much at me so fast.

CDPR needs a lesson in how to explain game mechanics. Doom Eternal does it right. Explain how it works, let me master it. Stop being vague and forcing me to figure it out myself, if I do something wrong, give me a hint. It's frustrating when something pops up, is there for like 10 seconds and goes away never to be seen again, all while story is happening, the world is bustling in front of me, Loot is popping up a year after I got it, I'm getting a phone call, It's overwhelming.

Already been to that part. and no I wouldn't call that dark. I would call it dark if there were morgues of bodies where people are getting implants ripped out while alive or being dismembered for their parts in motion. There is barely any interactive elements. Also, there is plenty wrong with the PC version, the animation barely works half the time. most cutscenes give me voice without any animation or even a moment where the audio is completely gone from time to time. Had to do a certain mission over again cause the character glitched into the ground and the A.I is beyond retarded.

You people on here aren't used to much, are you? if this is what you'd call dark content. All you ever see police do in this game is report bodies that randomly are scattered around you barely see an all-out block war for instance between gangs and cops or anything remotely giving off the feeling of a lived-in hard-assed city.

The whole tone of the Cyberpunk theme in this game is pretty much Vanilla. The game gives you more of a feeling that it is a " Sleeping dogs" kinda game.

The story stands out but the rest is really bland.

Actually, the terrible experience with Cyberpunk 2077 has reignited my passion for open world games that actually work. Like GTA V, RDR 2 and even the Bethesda and Ubisoft games. Say what you will about Skyrim and Fallout, I never once encountered several game breaking bugs within 20 hours of playtime in any of these games. Maybe I was luckier then. Or maybe the games were less broken. Probably the latter. Witcher 3 is still great, too. Might as well replay that.

If you don't think snuff BD is dark than you got issues and there is plenty of shit going on that makes it feel lived in. You sound like someone that's just impossible to please and is just best to ignore. I didn't encounter game breaking bug in those game nor this one.

I just finished a 60 hour playthrough (not all in one go of course ;) ) and I got so immersed in it that it was about 6am this morning that I finally managed to stop and get some sleep.

What I see the most here is the massive potential this has for future expansions. Some of the side missions are so well written and engaging that I found it hard to stop. Given how much CDPR have invested in this you know they'll keep working on it until it's right so there's no way I'll refund this, I'm just going to keep playing.

It is a personal decision to decide what is and isn't worth 60 bucks.
To me, this is not it. Considering the massive level of problems the game currently has, much time and resources will be spent to get it to work. Everyone at CDPR is tired right now and nothing will be done over the holiday season. I can think of a dozen games that are more deserving of my money right now.

If you consider Cyberpunk 2077 an investment into a brighter future, consider this:
What you get for your money right now is an unfinished product sold for full price.
What you would get in the brighter future you anticipate is a finished product for less money.

Does your purchase enable CDPR to get to that point and keep working on the game? Sure.
But you also let them get away with tricking you.

I understand where you're coming from, but I preordered this so far back that I don't miss the money anymore. For me this has been worth paying for if only for the show CDPR has put on for us over that last several years.

I also haven't had any problems with this that have been bad enough to ruin the experience, so for me it really has been worth paying for.

That was my experience with the game for roughly the first half of my playthrough. With this game, a major game breaking bug is always around the corner to end your enjoyment.

I read their posts and heard what they had to say for their shareholder emergency conference.
This game won't be fixed in any meaningful way until next year.

in the same boat, love the general banter between characters, ive been running everywhere instead of using car just to soak it in, feels like a real plastic world, that late 80's and 90's look to a dystopian future, it feels lived in and grimy, where as deus ex (new ones) still felt clean and sterile even in its back-allies. awful and garish fashions of people in the streets trying to outdo each other vs the corp uniforms clean lines, i hope the negitivity they are getting for this release doesnt kill it because i love it warts and all,
just please fix up the bugs and optimization.
