Not really. It's okay to want to filter out things that you don't like and aren't necessary to function in society or day-to-day life. If CDPR was serious about cyber augments, they would allow us to install some kind of content-blocker or something in lore-friendly way. But alas, we're of course playing a tough, hardened merc in an action game, not our own character in an RPG game (despite CDPR assuring that we will get our own character, not a premade one like Geralt).

Yes, it is the name of very popular pen & paper rpg - Cyberpunk 2020. You clearly have no clue about it yet you criticize the game for being true to it.

You can't filter out main quests.

No, it might simply means that it's not a product meant for you. If you don't like it that's perfectly fine then don't purchase it / play it, but expecting it to change to pander to you is silly.

The pre-launch promotional material made it pretty clear that this is an exaggerated dystopian version of the future where hypersexualization in advertisement is the norm.
How anyone could've missed that is truly baffling.

OmgNotAgain: You can't filter out main quests.
I don't mean filtering out whole plotlines or anything, just a chip that will automatically apply black censor bars (or pixelization for those with more Eastern tastes) to anything a user could find offensive (nudity in case of this game). Maybe even allow it to work with gore too, for consistency.

Forced censorship is of course bad, but having it as an option doesn't hurt anybody.

I feel like CDPR would have done wonders for themselves if they just let everyone know ahead of time that V is premade character like Geralt but with deeper customization that allows you to change his look or gender. Once you accept that V isn't a stand in for the player, but a Geralt like, the game makes a lot more sense and is much more enjoyable. It's a disconnect between expectation and reality that leads to frustration when V follows his own path despite you pulling on him to go a different way.

You can (could) make some thing pixelated but the plot still will be about it. How to tell a story about a working girl sold for... bla, bla, bla im not going to spoil. It's a game you have show some things. Yes i can be blurry etc but im my opinion it changes nothing my imagination will still show me those things. Kids in the room also have imagination btw.

Still, seeing that stuff (both sex and violence) vs just being told it's there is a subtle difference that some may prefer. It could also make some experiences better BECAUSE of your imagination, similar to how it's old games that are often praised for their atmosphere (especially horror games), while modern titles require a shit-ton of work to get the same effect with hyperrealistic graphics.

You sound like the person that never watched a movie or read a book, but have consulted the critique / reviews and made up your mind. Play the game, then have a say of what YOU think.

So here we go:
1. Black censor bars for nudity / sex
2. Black censor bars for violence/gore

I'm afraid you will just look at black censor bars the whole time. It's not just sex or nudity that is potentially offensive in this game - like the modern society, if you want to be offended, you always will.

Take a random user and he will be offended at something - you can't just take everything away.

This is a mature 18+ game - don't try to make it into a family friendly fest. Just ignore Cyberpunk if mature themes somehow offend you.

hmm, dont know. I am 30+, and for me it more looks like game for teenagers.

I think all this talk about expectations is due to the fact that many, including me, bought the game very long time ago on pre-order. When nothing was known about. For example, I expected something between the Witcher and DeusEx, and of course this is totally not. But I'm trying to give the game a chance
