At the moment I see only 26 parts of v.2.0 on the Downloads page, which I cannot run (4GB VRAM). How can I get the previous version, 1.63, without redownloading the game twice (v.2.0 then downgrading v.1.63) via Galaxy? The Witcher 3 has the "Classic" edition files in the Extra Downloads.

Yes, that's strange that they removed the previous version and just left a few files.

You'll have to ask the support if you want to download manually, but they're very slow to answer - expect a few days or even a few weeks before getting a reply. The games are so different that it's the same to download it from scratch or to patch it. When I updated from 1.x to 2.0, it simply downloaded the new version (54 GB). I don't think there ever was patches to downgrade anyway.

If you don't want to wait, you can install Galaxy, download the game, and discard Galaxy if you don't like it. Uninstall the 2.0 you have now, launch Galaxy, Manage Installation / Configure, select 1.63_Hotfix - which is still there - and it'll start the download.
The support has replied: "Unfortunately. files for version before 2.0 are not available the other way than through rollback function through GOG GALAXY. It is different than Classic Version for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt cause this was not "Next Gen" update like in The Witcher".

Well, I wasn't going to play anytime soon, but still disappointing.
Just torrent the version you are looking for, it's not like you will be breaking any laws if you actually own the game.
I think we're all going to have to make sure anytime a big update and/or expansion is coming, we're going to have to squirrel away the old-version to any folders Galaxy doesn't recognize (if you use Galaxy) and/or stick them on external hard drives for back-ups.

Learned this from GTA: SA Steam-update breaking old saves and other games where updates have broken mods (i.e. see Fallout 3 on Steam, where newest update broke FOSE-related mods).

The offline installer for 1.63 seems to be added to the Extras section. Sadly you can't play PL with this version.
There's a legacy version under Extras (>100GB zip-File)

THIS. I use gogrepoc to collect all my GOG loaders and started a folder for 'Previous Builds'.

Ah. They added that since I downloaded 2.0. I know they and the system were getting slammed, but devoted fans who downloaded first things couldn't know they were planning on doing that.

Thanks for the heads up.

Holy crap @ 116GB in size.
Why is this so big?

Ain't v1.63 like 70GB or so?

Is this old version (before 1.63) and then patching up (to 1.63)?
Or is it basically 2.0 there and they're patching backwards and downwards?

EDIT - Yeah, v1.63 game-folder of CP 2077 for me is almost 65GB.
